The ice maker is terrific and the fridge design allows us to see everything and gain easy access to remove what we are looking for without having to reach around things or remove things in order to get what we were looking for.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After the sudden and unexpected death of our 20 yr old Amana we found ourselves on the hunt for something new. Although we set out to purchase a different style KitcheAid we bought this model after recommendation from the salesman. We have had it a little less than a month now but couldn't be happier with our purchase! It has so much more room than my old fridge. The feature my entire family LOVES is the large full width tray at the bottom. It has saved so much space that used to be taken up in the other fridge and it gives easy access to things my kids often want but couldn't reach before. Although we didn't want an ice maker or water dispenser we have started to adjust to having those features as well. I also like the look of the handles on this model, very modern and sleek looking. While the stainless is not fingerprint/smudge free it is close. With small children in the house we have next to no fingerprints on the doors and such after this amount of time. Not to mention how extremely quiet it is. You can barely hear it run and you really can't hear it even when it drops ice into the bins. Highly recommended!

I am happy to see that KitchenAid has smooth white doors that do not catch and hold dirt. The handles are brushed stainless and will not show dirt either - a great improvement!
