Happy with my purchase

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this fridge a few months back. It has been working well. It is very quiet. It has a lot of compartments. One thing got me by surprise was that the freezer storage containers are all white metal dividers. However, the picture in the product page is showing all white plastic dividers. I believe that was from a higher model fridge. I wasn't expect to see something different based on what I saw from the picture, unfortunately the store I got it from didn't have the same model that I can look at the real thing. There is a drinking water spot inside the fridge. We don't use it a lot but at times comes in handy. In the freezer area, it has a ice maker tray. It will be nice if KitchenAid can pack it with an ice scooper. Instead, I have to go purchase it separately myself. For all the plastic containers inside the fridge, the plastic feels a little flimsy. When you open the fruits and vegetables drawers, you really have to be careful as they don't have wheels to guide the slide open and close action. It is only plastic to plastic. The drawers may crack if you don't push it in the right position especially when it is cold. Overall, so far it is good and happy with my purchase.

I only gave a 4/5 overall rating because my only complaint is with the interior water dispenser. You need one hand to hold your glass under the dispenser and another to push
the button for water. It would be much easier to use, had the button been below the dispenser for one handed water fill.

Poor siding of drawers

Some cons are that the interior shelf structures and mountings are not simple like my previous older fridge and it is more time consuming to keep it clean.

I need my appliances to work for me. This refrigerator needs special attention every time I slide in the fruit and produce drawers.
If I don’t get the angle just right it interferes with the humidity control lever. Also, the drawers do not slide in and out easily.

I have used my 4 brand new KitchenAid appliances for about five months.
- The wall oven has already needed a fan replacement.
- The dishwasher motor has ceased up and it no longer pumps water to wash the dishes. It has been out of service for over a month (including the holidays when we hosted on a few occasions). Our extended warranty provider has been looking for a new part but they can’t get one. My appliances need to work for me!

I would like KitchenAid to replace my dishwasher with a better quality model that can pump water so the dishwasher can be useful in my kitchen. While we wait for the part, the appliance is sitting idle and the warranty period is counting down.
At first I was very impressed and happy with all of my new appliances. Now I am deeply dissatisfied and can not recommend KitchenAid appliances to others.
Sorry for the negative review. Some of you may have better luck, but new appliances should not run on luck. This survey opportunity came at a time when I’m experiencing disappointment and dissatisfaction.
