Great Use Of Space

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this refrigerator because it checked off most of my boxes. Great interior space(really love the half shelf), single layer deli drawer(note: both doors have to be open to access), bottom freezer, ice maker, interior water dispenser and 33" width. We had a small place to fit or an expensive remodeling job to move a cabinet or wall. Overall very pleased. Did experience some condensation issues on door seal but the condensation control on the fridge seems handle that pretty well. Only other suggestion is the door handles: really wish they were the "sloped end" ones rather than the contemporary "straight rod" design. My other KtichenAid appliances are "sloped" so they don't match exactly. That being said it didn't stop me from choosing this refrigerator. This review is after 2 weeks of use, so I may update in future. For now, very pleased!

It’s a fridge, looks nice with KitchenAid handles

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not as excited about lower drawer freezer as I thought. Its a nice appliance, but not worth all the extra cost over our previous KitchenAid unit which is now a backup/extra space unit. It would be nice to be able to get a stripped down simple unit without all the sensors and warning devices that will probably be the cause of premature device failures. (All this stuff wasn’t needed years ago and it still isn’t necessary)
Our last unit is 16 years old and works great, (2 dials for cold settings and that’s it) only shortfall is slightly smaller, but the new one is not flaunting that much extra space. Hopefully it lasts a long time without problems. But service professionals tell me that circuit boards are weakest links due to chilling and defrost cycles trying to battle for control.
We’ll see. Hope it’s better than Samsung and LG reputations.

Don't buy this refrigerator---Problems

My wife and I have had it with this refrigerator. The freezer continues to ice up on a regular basis, even after we had a service call made on it. If you want to scrape the ice from this freezer every week, go ahead and buy it. Not only that, but after only 2 years of use, the seals are starting to rip and tear. Mind you, we are older adults, children gone and married, so we take good care of our things. This unit has gotten below average use, and STILL the refrigerator seals are ripping! I'd take this thing back if I could. I'm going to give it 2 stars ONLY because so far, and I repeat, SO FAR it has kept good temperatures both in the upper and lower areas. I hope Kitchenaid can help me with this box, even though it's technically out of warranty. We had a MAYTAG refrigerator for 25 years WITH NO PROBLEMS! Why can't Kitchenaid replicate that kind of performance, and that was with 2 active boys in the house besides us! If they don't help me, I'll never buy another Kitchenaid product again. Cheaply made.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Water dispenser freeze up

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This refrigerator was delivered to my home in October 2018 and I have had the repair technician come to my house seven times and the problem is still not resolved. The technician set the display temperature from 38 to 40 degrees and the water dispenser still freeze up. He replaced the circuit board and reprogrammed the software but this did not help. He wrapped the reservoir and tubing with insulation but the water dispenser continued to freeze up. Two other times he reprogrammed the software to a higher temperature, with the display still showing 38 degrees, but this caused the temperature in the refrigerator to fluctuate between 44 and 26 degrees and the water dispenser still would freeze up. My wife and I are having the store come and get this refrigerator and go with a different brand.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It has performed flawlessly. the internal temperature has been consistent even with varying loads inside. I like the door closure system. Also everything is organized in the refrigerator and freezer.
