A great retiree refrig

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just bought this french door fridge to replace my side by side. Love the change. All the high use items are now easier to access in a unit that looks great. The kitchen aid unit looks great. I like the clean look. Still makes ice and had a discrete water dispenser so the front is alway clean. Who wants to clean our a water dispenser cabinet when they are rarely used. Ice storesults in the freezer....easier for bulk needs and again cleaner. Great American made fridge!!!!!
I would recommend this to a friend!

We’ve had the fridge 10 Days. The vegetable drawers slide very loosely and feel like a much cheaper appliance. The same is true of the freezer drawers which are coated wire. They don’t slide smoothly. The French doors seem not well sealed like our prior fridge did. They are sealed but our old one had a better suction and seal. As many hv noted, the ice maker is noisy. We had the same configuration type fridge before made by a different maker. All of these features were better. I’m very disappointed. We bought all Kitchenaid in four appliances so they would match. The other three seem better quality but the fridge is the most expensive appliance, so would expect better. Positive comment is the appearance is attractive. Black stainless is easy to clean.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nice looking, but...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a good looking refrigerator that has functioned well for the first few weeks of ownership, but for the price and reputation it's nowhere near as substantial and sturdy as expected. The doors are light and the handles feel a little thin--in particular, opening the freezer compartment doesn't give a feel of quality at all. If you don't grab the handle dead center the drawer twists a bit and feels like it's about to come off the tracks. Pleased with function and appearance, but a little disappointed with materials and quality.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Exactly what we wanted

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Water/ice dispenser inside eliminates the problems we have had with in-the-door dispensers dropping stray ice cubes that sneak out unexpectedly and fall on the floor leaving a puddle/ water stains. It also gives more storage shelf space in the doors to place frequently used items.
The single drawer freezer seems more economical to manufacture, and fewer things to break during life of the fridge.
My only complaint is that the AC power cord was a few inches too short to reach the outlet at the upper-back side of the cabinet cubby before rolling the fridge into it. Had to modify the outlet location to a lower position.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sloppy freezer drawer slides, no rollers on vegetable drawers, info panel could be integrated into frig housing versus interfering with placement of of items on the top shelf.

Saw this KitchenAid refrigerator and knew this was the one.At first the awesome white exterior with the gleaming silver handles got me, then the spacious inside & intelligent features sold me.I am so happy & proud.

Great fridge

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall happy with this purchase. The water spigot inside should be designed for single handed usage. Takes one hand to push the spigot and the other to hold the glass. Awkward. Nice space for all items. Like the wine rack feature.
