Worth the price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this refrigerator approximately 1 month ago as a replacement for another Kitchenaid refrigerator that lasted an excess of 23 years. Needless to say I read several reviews about the refrigerator and decided that this refrigerator was worth the purchase. The French door feature is a plus. The only difference between the two refrigerators is that the cold-cut draw doesn’t have the divider in it as the older model had. The old refrigerator that had the divider did not have a part number on it and doesn’t appear to be available any longer .The new refrigerator is slightly noisier than the other, but not offensive. All things considered, I would recommend the refrigerator.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my new French door refrigerator. It holds a lot of food. The vegetable bins are deep and items can be stored and organized well. The adjustable shelves can be split and allow the arrangement of food to fit according to height. The inside hidden water dispenser does not deflect from the sleek design. The color, a black stainless steel compliments the kitchen cabinetry.

Less bells and whistles

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had purchased the kitchen aid model with 5 doors 5 years ago. It broke down numerous times, with each time being told that the next big and expensive repair was right around the corner. It was recommended that we purchase a model that has less bells and whistles. So that is this refrigerator. We liked the look, size and convenience of the drawers of the other MORE expensive model. But we settled for this refrigerator hoping it will last longer without as many repairs. It is smaller, when it makes ice it spills over into the bottom of the freezer where I can't reach it. It is what it is. Let's hope it is more reliable. If someone would like to contact me about our experience with the other unit, please do.

Good interior layout, suspect build quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are pleased with the layout of the interior, flexibility for whatever we need. However, the fridge is loud. When it is quiet in the evening, we can hear it running. Also, the lower freezer drawer feels flimsy.

Love the ice cube maker in freezer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The fridge has a lot of room but I really wish the shelves could slide out. I’m short and it is difficult to reach food at the back of the shelves. The freezer section is small and doesn’t hold a lot of freezer products..the baskets are very limiting.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This refrigerator has too many design flaws for a unit that is considered to be on the higher end of appliances.
Door swings shut when accessing food. Water filter placement is bad, limiting storage where needed. Shelves have a 2" gap at the back allowing smaller product to fall onto lower shelf. Right side crisper drawer doesn't open unless both outer doors are open. Deli drawer should have a divider between meat and cheese. Bottom door shelves have a too large radius at the corner that limits what can be put in there. Top shelf of freezer stays in place when drawer is opened. Ice bin is too shallow, so ice falls onto the kitchen floor or behind shelf when shelf is pulled out or ice is scooped.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pleased with the unit so far...ample flexible storage and good tenperature control. Unit seems well-made...we will see if lasts as long as my previous GE fridge which was still running perfectly at 24 years old.
I do wish KitchenAid made a model identical to the one I have, but without the icemaker and water dispenser. Those features are just not useful for some of us in hard water areas...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this refrigerator a month ago and I am disappointed. I had an older version of the same refrigerator so I had certain expectations. The quality of this refrigerator is poor. The crispers feel cheap and I have to open both doors to open one crisper. I would not recommend.
