Loved our KitchenAid fridge so much we got a second one!!! When you NEED two refrigerators you NEED two refrigerators. We have a large family and food is definitely our "thing". We have one in our kitchen, the new one of course, and the slightly older model is now in our rec room for the food 'over flow'. Could not make it through a holiday celebration, a party or even a weekend with everyone home from college with out a second fridge or a daily trip to the market.

Awesome refrigerator! I like the handles on the outside doors because they have a bit of a grip but still easy to clean. We actually have ice again. The icemaker is great. Love the room on the inside of the fridge and freezer. Love the bottom slide-out drawer as it is deeper and can hold a lot of items. Stays cold and freezes well. And love that it is very quiet.

Yes, the exterior is exactly right, clean design, no bells and whistles. However both doors must be opened to access the vegetable or fruit bins...why? they could very well have been measured to fit the size of the opened door. The bin underneath them also requires that both doors be opened. My Whirlpool, also a French Door model (which sadly I left in NM when we moved) could access all three bins with only one door open...I just had to decide which side of the refrigerator I wanted to access. Go figure. The pull out freezer drawers do not both come out at the same time...only the lower one does. To get to the ice, I must pull out the top drawer. So much easier to push back the top drawer if the lower one is needed. The Interior Dispenser of water is not so great When I have tried to use it to fill a container, most of the water ends up on the surrounding shelves so it is of no use to me. I will say that the exterior is easy to clean of fingerprints, a small bonus in light of a poorly designed Kitchen Aid product. I did expect more because it had that name attached. I will just have to dream of the great experience I had using my Whirlpool in New Mexico. I have purchased other appliances (microwave, stove, dish washer) since then and none are Kitchen Aid due mostly to the experience with this refrigerator.

Love everything about this refrigerator except that when we ordered it, I thought the sides would be stainless steel. Black sides also would have been acceptable, but the grey sides do not go with the rest of the kitchen remodel. I would have sent it back had I noticed this prior to signing for the appliance.

Bought the fridge 2weeks ago and just put it to the test hosting a large party & it worked well. Only drawback is that the filtered water comes out at a snail's pace. I've done all the troubleshooting but nothing has worked. If anyone has suggestions...

Minor problems right out of the box. Poor design of the produce preserver drawer lid. The length of the pins that hold the lid in place is too short so the lid detaches about 60% of the time upon opening the drawer. It's hard to imagine how this wasn't identified in the design and development process. The lid closure isn't manufactured wrong, it's just so poorly designed that it comes apart. The interior light system is also flickery and wonky. In terms of interior temperature and other features, so far so good. Our last fridge lasted only seven years before the compressor died. KA and it's competitors simply are not designing and manufacturing to the quality standards of home appliances 20 years ago, when a durable good lasted 10-20 years. Based on my experience after a kitchen and laundry room remodel a few years ago, I would expect a fridge, washer or range made today to last only between 5–10 years. Not much of an incentive to buy anything but the bottom of a manufacturer's line.

The refrigerator replaced a Whirlpool that was on its last legs. It is functioning flawlessly and I especially like the actual temperature readout instead of the number display in the old one. The internal lighting is bright making it very easy to locate items that get pushed to the back. I am looking forward to years of good service.
