Not worth the price !!

This refrigerator has been marketed as reliable and higher-end refrigerator with best in the industry engineering, streak resistance stainless steel and various customer needed options. Within few months this refrigerator started to have problems: drain pipe clogged causing water leakage on bamboo hardwood flooring, doors not closing completely causing ice build up in the freezer. Also, cleaning this refrigerator is a nightmare; drawers don't come out easily and keeping outside stainless steel streaks free is a challenge.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What a major disappointment

I bought this unit thinking I was going to be the envy of my circle of friends. Sadly I became the source of many jokes as I had so many problems I was ready to roll this thing into the nearest dumpster. The ice maker never worked properly and the push-paddle to get dispenser started broke 3 times. After 3 years I decided it was time to correct my error. I went to the store where I bought this refrigerator and after they read all the negative reviews were so kind as to credit my original purchase price toward another brand. I will never even think of purchasing Electrolux again as friends have had issues with other appliances as well.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Poor quaility control at the factory.

Had nothing but trouble from my Electrolux refrigerator. When it was delivered it would not turn on. Had to replace the computer board. The shevels started to turn loose and fall down. Come to find out from Electrolux's service representive that the refrigerator was warped.
This refrigerator should have never left the factory.
Poor quaility control.
New refrigerator arivied with broken freezer door. Had to have it replaced. Again poor quaility control.
The new refrigerator makes a lot of noise but it works.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

it's not your vacumncleaner

the stainless is so thin that just pushing it into place left dents where it was touched. The
sides are no longer stainless, the previous model this replaced had stainless sides. The
contractor left knee prints on the door and he was extremely careful (having done this many
times with many different refrigerators.) what's up with that ?? If I had little children I'd be in
a lot of trouble with dents. I can't believe this finish is so cheap and shoddy.( contractor had
knee pads on at the time ) Also, no leveling adjustments on the back legs

only drawback is that the icemaker leaks a little bit, but never enough to overflow the base and onto the floor.

Extremely bad refrigerator

In my review I am not concentrating on trivial issues like really sharp shelves edges that cut your hands all the time and drawers that are not easily removable without special tools and training (per Use and Care Guide, removing drawers for washing requires wearing safety glasses and using screwdriver).
I have Model EI26SS30JS for almost 2 years. Refrigerator came with the wrong (too short) tube that connects ice maker with the water supply. Due to that, water went to the freezer instead of the ice maker creating frozen waterfall in the freezer.
Since we purchased the refrigerator, I have been dealing with the same problem over and over again: freezer temperature on the front digital panel suddenly begins to drop reaching -19 degrees. We have gone thru many repairs. Main controller was replaced three times, front panel with associated controller with thermistors were changed several times, and wiring was replaced. As of today, the issue remains unresolved. In addition, I am facing new problems like water dripping from the ice dispenser.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Yes, the product was nice. The crushed ice works when it wants and the fridge doesn't have as much room as my older one. Overall, it's not too bad. It's temperamental.

A very nice refrigerator

I purchased this refrigerator after a great deal of research and looking at many other brands. This one stood out from the others for the quality of the interior drawers and material that was used. It utilizes the interior space very well. The factory setting for the refrigerator temperature had to be raised 2 degrees or some items would freeze on the top shelf near the freezer wall. It operates well and is quiet. There are some different noises due to the efficiency built-in features however, the owners manual carefully explains the different noises to expect.
I would recommend this to a friend!
