Finally Clamp Closure again, not zipper!!!

I don't trust zippers on checked luggage. Finally Samsonite has made a suitcase with plant locks again. So happy to find it in spinner version hardshell .

We've been using Samsonite spinners for awhile. Unfortunately, my one latch got damaged (actually cracked). We don't like the zippers on luggage, past experience was not good. These were the only suitcases I could find that still had the latches. Worried that the luggage manufacturers are doing away with them. So, we purchased two of these.
Pros: Easy To Carry, Easy To Identify, Good Capacity, High Quality, Latches, Lightweight

It was difficult to choose a suitcase, since there are so many choices. I am happy I went with the Samsonite Cruisair Bold 26"" Spinner. It's the perfect size for a couple traveling for a few days and seems quite sturdy. I am weary of the clasps, however. They seem to be junky and inexpensive for such a pricey suitcase - as if they can easily break. But, after one trip they have held up fine.
Pros: Easy To Carry, Good Capacity, Lightweight

POOR QUALITY PLASTIC INSIDE

I have several Samsonite luggage pieces of various sizes and am quite happy with them. This one however is an exception. The plastic tabs inside are of very poor quality. The center tab broke off a year ago and I had to get it warranty repaired. Now another one broke off during my last trip and I will again have to take it to the same shop to be repaired. The repair shop is quite far from my house and it is a pain in the behind. I've only used this suitcase for longer vacations and have probably used it for 5 or 6 trips only in the last 2 years that I've had it.
Pros: Easy To Identify
Cons: Heavy To Begin With, Poor Quality
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
