Miss My Old Thermador

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have had my new KitchenAid double ovens for a little over a month. So far they seem to work fine. I do have a couple of concerns/recommendations.
Since my old ovens were also a wall unit, I had to purchase an oven of similar measurements. The new KitchenAid is not as deep as my old Thermador even though they are an inch wider (the new Thermador's are more than 5 inches wider). Unable to switch from baking to broiling without actually cancelling baking mode, then switching to broil.
Speaking of control names, why couldn't "Cancel" have been "Stop"?
The oven display can not be back lit so controls are difficult to read in low light. If the clock can be lit up, why can't the rest of the panel?
The timer tone is difficult to hear even at high volume. Not everyone who buys a new oven has perfect hearing.
Had my old Thermador wall ovens for over 30 years and yes, change is hard for me, but wish my new KitchenAid was a little more intuitive and/or helpful. Hopefully I will get use to these ovens and come to appreciate them.

Great looking wall oven

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This oven is so pretty and easy to use. The thing I’m most excited about is that you can actually see the food cooking! In most ovens, when you turn the light on, you can’t see into the oven. The windows are large and easy to see through. And the blue color of the interior is beautiful!

Perfect fit, user friendly touch controls

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this wall oven to match our new stovetop and for the convenience of a double oven. It’s perfect! The top panel contains the controls for both ovens. The control panel is made of glass, not plastic & is very user friendly. Both ovens work well so far. The upper oven has convection capabilities & the lower oven has the broiler function. We replaced a single oven plus microwave set up and the cabinet area required some modifications on our part. By following the online Kitchenaid instructions, everything lined up as specified. Couldn’t be more pleased!
