I have really enjoyed using my scanner. It is so versital. I would recommend it to anyone. The varitety of uses is impressive.

Scanner does an excellent job of digitizing color slides. My only complaint is that it seems to take along time to copy four slide, but when I look at the end product I guess I can live with that.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Super easy to use and scans come out beautifully. directions are easy to follow, popped up right on my computer screen and I was able to easily move the picture to exactly where I wanted to

The Epson Perfection 4490 Photo Scanner is the best user-friendly scanner on the market! I had 55,000 slides which could no longer be viewed due to out-moded or no longer available equipment. Procurement of the Epson Scanner was a long shot which turned out to be a simple process ... I set the scanner on 'film,' save to a Flash Memory ... and the job is DONE ... WITH QUICK RETRIEVAL, I must add ...Thanks for making old travel slides come to life!

Good but with SERIOUS FAULTS

This scanner does a fantastic job with normal scans, 120mm film scans... but the negative carrier for 35mm is poorly designed and made.
The 35mm carrier will not hold film flat. It there is any curl to the negative... you will get Newton's Rings and poorly focused scans.
If there is ANY curl to the negative, it will pop the negative carrier out and you will not get a good scan. They could solve this problem by having the film in a guide like they have for the first corner of the first frame.
To be honest, this carrier is just NO GOOD. Poorly made and it really lowers the quality of this scanner - which if you have a flat negative, it is a great scanner.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Don't buy this product.

The product works fine but the registration process is worse than going to the dentist.Multiple excruciating fields must be filled out in detail before you can download the driver.If you miss one tiny field you are out of luck. I will try to get a different brand next time I buy a scanner.

I;ve had this printer for about 2 yrs and have not had any problems with it. It is a fantastic printer it will do anything you ask it to do. I would recommend this printer to anyone that wants a great printer.

Horrible!

I bought the scanner and worked good for about a month. Now, it keeps jamming saying that the scanner is locked and that I should unlock it. I'm done with it! What a waste of money!
