I have tried replacement cartridges and was disastified with the poor quality. Genuine HP products is the only way to go.

Generic or re-filled ink cartridges cannot compare to the quality of HP cartridges. The colors are true and the cartridges last longer than others.

keeps shutting down printer

about every third print job will not function; error message says there is no cartridge or it is misaligned...I have removed it, cleaned it, replaced it on several occasions, but nothing seems to work...I have been using this printer and this cartridge number for several years, and this is the first time I've had this problem

Do not throw away your printer because of errors, you can get a bad cartridge which was my case, I was torn between buying a new cartridge hoping to fix errors or just getting a new printer, in my case the cartridge worked.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What can I say? It is as perfect as any ink cartridge I have ever used.. HPs service is excellant and
I will continue to order from them as long as I have a computer..
