Switched from HP 17B II+ - Easy

I have been using an HP 17B II, but had to switch for the CFA exam. The system is intuitive and easy to use. Not quite as well organized and simple as the 17, but works well.

Works great, quicker than the older models, great for financial professionals, fits in pocket easily, don't need to break out the computer every time I want to do a quick calculation. Hard to believe it's still this good after 30 years!

I've used this calculator for 30 years. Hasn't changed (except the speed) and it doesn't have to. Perfect for the financial or business pro.

I have owned the same HP12C for 25 years (since 1982), when it was the latest and greatest-it still is. After several years of dormancy, I recently purchased a new button cell battery, and it fired right up, just like 1982. This calculator performs financial calculations like nothing else handheld, including amortizations, bond yields, depreciation, present values,internal rates of return, and programmed functions. It is just as relevant and productive today as the day I bought it 25 years ago. I can perform complex financial calculations as quickly with my 12C as I can with my $700 PC. The operating manual is thoroughly and completely documented and provides immediate throughput explanation for anything you intend to perform.

Great tool, but fix the buttons

I've been using a 12C for 25 years - its a great tool. When sadly mine went missing (this one after at least 15 years), I was pleased to see it is still available and immediately ordered one. It is in all respects the same calculator except for the feel of the buttons. I know it may seem fussy, but these buttons have a cheap, tinny, hollow feel to them when pressing - not nice. The previous model, by contrast, had a very solid feel.

I had a 12c calculator for 20+ years and when it got ruined and would no longer work I didn't hesitate to immediately order another one. I didn't even consider getting any other type or brand of financial calculator even with all the new technology out there. This does everything you could possibly need it to do and is more than reasonably priced.
