Great canister vacuum

I have had the Shark Rotator canister vacuum series NR96 for several years and it has been my favorite cleaner so far. I am starting to get arthritis and it is much easier to handle the small power head and light canister than using a stick or upright cleaner. I would like to purchase another one for my downstairs and one for my camper but am unable to find this model.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Don't Buy!

I've had this vacuum three years and each year the hose on the power head cracks. It's not under warranty, they say it's a usable part, well the whole vacuum is a usable part! I have my third power head now and it has a crack in the flex hose. The part is a piece of junk! I am not paying for shipping on one more of these. I call and complain and I get it replaced for just shipping cost, but still, it's junk. Fix the darn problem. I love the cleaning this vacuum does but that hose is defective.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good suction power

I used to own this vacuum. It had good suction power. It was kinda difficult pulling it around yet the suction power was good. I would give it a 6/10

WOW! Great vacuum!

I already have an earlier model (or, at least, very similar) of this vacuum that I've been using the past few years and love, but needed to get another vacuum so I had one upstairs and one downstairs so I didn't have to lug them up and down stairs. This one ALMOST makes my older one seem wimpy in comparison. I swear, when you put it into carpet mode, it takes off without you if you aren't holding on tight enough. Terrific suction, and gets up pet hair with ease. One of the features I like with this model is not having to change the hose attachment to a different port whenever you want to use one of the attachments - ie. vacuuming off the couch, clearing cobwebs from ceiling, etc. I also love being able to attach the wand to the base portion so you can vacuum under beds and cabinets easily. The controls on the handle are well placed and easy to use quickly so you can switch between hardwood floor mode to carpet without breaking your stride. The canister is easy to remove and empty. The vaccum is solidly built but not terribly heavy, yet not so light that it tips easily. Best of all it was reasonably priced.

The power on this one is unmatched… It gets into nooks and crannies that my standard vacuum can’t get into, and it sucks everything up so much better than my stick vacuum.
