Happy with the stovetop, but disappointed the controls failed on my last one (purchased around 2007). The occasional element failed over the years but I consider that normal.
no problems and works great. Not the fastest but all coils take time.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hello and thank you for taking the time to write your review on your cooktop. We’re glad to hear you are pleased with your purchase. It is a great model. The Calrod® brand heating element is a GE Appliances exclusive. We pioneered and developed the Calrod®. It gets its name from the terms, "calorie", a recognized unit of measuring heat, and "rod", a metal rod or tube that contains the heating unit. These high quality units are manufactured by us and all units conform to rigid quality control specifications. It is built to last. We appreciate your business and your feedback.
I bought this because I grew up with an electric, not gas, cooktop, but the ones with the coil elements and drip pans. They were a pain to clean so my mom had me cover the drip pans with aluminum foil. SO...no drip pans to clean! BUT...seems every pan I have leaves scorch marks on the cooktop that can’t be removed just with a sponge. Need to use a special non-abrasive cleaner. Need to clean it after every use. SO...burners heat up quickly (good news) BUT...takes a huge long time to cool.
