Heats quickly but the stainless steel around the unit gets quite hot.

While the "old" product was by GE (over 50 years old) and used every day, the new one is cleaner and faster working. Although stainless steel to my mind is easy to clean, my wife is concerned over the fact you need to follow the "grain."

Love this cook top

We purchased this cook top two months ago when we remodeled the kitchen. I like the burner layout, it is different from my old one. I was a little concerned at first that the knobs would get in the way, but they haven't presented any problem.

Great stainless steel stove top

Replaced cracked glass stove top that cracked. Love the look of the new stainless steel, much easier to keep clean. Best part is more controllable heat.
