Great Burner Layout

I purchased this unit in July and I have thoroughly enjoyed using it. It is pretty easy to clean with the cleaner and soft cloth. I do have a stain on it that I cannot get off from making some relish. I have got to figure some way to clean that off for sure!
Our new cooktop is made of a pressed stainless that does not lay flat, it bows up in the middle. We have to remove the entire burner in order to remove the drip tray for cleaning. If the burner gets lifted more than an inch it will not lie flat in the cooktop, it rocks. Although the knobs placed in the center of the cooktop are child proof, the burners are too close to the edge where a child’s hands could easily reach. The stove lifts up to clean underneath. When you lift it the stainless top buckles. POOR DESIGN, CHEAPLY MADE, HARD TO CLEAN.
Enjoying our new cook top. Works really well. The only problem I am having is that the burners do not lay flat and they rock back and forth. I have tried taking them out and putting them back in a couple of times.
Heating element settings tend to "run hot"ter than knob indicates. Also, stainless top is not as easy to keep clean as I had hoped. Only certain products with paper tower results in a streak-free finish.
We have had this cooktop for a few months and, overall, we are very satisfied with it. The controls for the individual elements are intuitively obvious so the wrong element is not turned on. On the negative side, the elements are easy to remove but somewhat difficult to reinstall. Directions are provided but any deviation from those instructions will result in an incorrectly installed element. Also the cooktop did not set level on our counter top so I had add shims. From other reviews I have read, that does not appear to be an isolated problem.
We bought this top to replace a glass top that cracked. LOVE IT! Cooks better and looks just as nice as the black glass top version. More direct heating to the pan, so you can cook at a lower temp. than a glass top. And it won't crack![
I purchased this stainless steel cooktop with electric coil burners to replace my GE glass smooth cooktop that had cracked. I really wanted to replace with the same as before but GE stopped making the color bisque. This new cooktop is ok. It does heat up quickly and is pan friendly, but I dislike needing to polish the stainless every time
