Just bought this cooktop -- and it's working absolutely fantastic! I decided to get the stainless steel model to replace my old enameled cooktop. I also decided to get the coiled burners instead of the glass cooktop -- i don't think i could bear seeing the scratches after just a few months of use. No, the burners with drip pans are the best if you like it looking new!
Replace the cook top with this one even though some review were bad. I am glad I chose this one almost didn't due to bad reviews on cleaning. You do have to be careful about using certain cleaning products and use a soft cloth but as with all the new stainless steel products they have new cleaning requirements....my only prob was the yellow tape they had on the cooktop it was hard to clean even using their instructions.
I had this installed a week ago and it looks nice. But I don't like the surface. It's not smooth like my other one was and therefore doesn't clean up as easily. I also don't like the way the knobs are fastened; they come off when you lift the top. I also don't like the way it props up to clean underneath; the brace supports only the one side. There should be a brace for both sides.
