Good basic 4 burner cooktop

My old cooktop came with the house (in 1967) so it was time for a new one. Since I wanted the new one to go where the old one had been I went with a similar model. The black color is different than my old white-ish model. I like that it doesn't show every little spot. The unit is reasonably easy to clean. Installation was OK once we realized we needed to get the mounting skirt too. We've been using it for 4 months now and it seems to be working fine. It does take "B" size drip pans if you need to replace any of them.
I would recommend this to a friend!

not worth two pennies, uneven and just plan cheaply made.

We've only been using this cooktop for a few weeks. It is exactly as we expected and we are happy with it. We had a similar GE unit before that lasted 25 years. We love that the surface lifts up for easy cleaning. The burners heat up quickly. We're looking forward to years of use from this unit.

We purchased this stainless steel model to replace a similar model with a black enamel finish. Very pleased withi it's very easy trpo clean and the electric coils are immediately responsive.
