I purchased this freezer in late fall after looking at many freezers. I like the layout, and it seals very well. The true test will be in the summer months when it is hot in the garage, so far it seems to run efficiently.

Besides the savings I enjoy from taking advantage of food sales, I have been able to freeze seasonal fruits and vegetables at their peak to enjoy throughout this past Winter. I can't wait to really put it to use with my own garden's produce this coming Summer!

Nice Size Freezer

Just purchased our new Upright GE Freezer and was delivered just this last week. It replaces a chest freezer that was 50 years old. They don't make them like that anymore. We are very pleased with our purchase. The upright affords the capability to place everything in sight and within easy reach. NO MORE BENDING over and almost falling into the freezer. You find too as you get older that is for the birds. I am very pleased with everything about my NEW GE Freezer and look forward to many years using it.

When a very old freezer finally gave up the ghost, we chose this model because it was the biggest upright we could fit in the space, and because it was made by GE. We are extremely happy with its spaciousness, convenience, and performance.

Meets family need perfectly. Manual defrost is not a burdensome issue. No frills means less problems. Happy with product.

Quiet, efficient, & deep freeze

I wanted to buy a chest freezer but my wife found this standup model at a great price. It is manual defrost which I also wanted to avoid. All my concerns were not necessary! This is perfect. Storage features yield lots of room and an easy to use built-in defrost drain tube. It will freeze items in a lower "deep" freeze than similar models with auto-defrost, keeping food longer & fresher tasting. There is a soft freeze bin also for items you don't want to deep freeze. It is quiet and runs very efficiently/economically.

Huge capacity. runs quiet, good value. Plenty of door shelves, basket on bottom of freezer pulls out, great for small packages that normally got misplaced in our last freezer.
