Core updates are few and far between.
Multitude of features built in to device i am not permitted to use because carrier does not allow. ex nfc wallet, samsung galaxy gear etc etc.
Gaggle of software preinstalled on device that i cannot remove, runs in background not being used chewing on battery and cpu performance
Cons: Too big, Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love this phone because it's not only fun , it also helps me be more responsible.It can be customized to your needs and as a student I really need this.At first it would freeze alot but it was just at the beginning and now it runs fine.For a heavy user as myself I belive the battery isn't enough but for a medium iser it woild be great.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, compatible, versatile

Movies are a blast

I held out for the Note2 because all the hype made me want this device even more. But when I finally got it...I was so happy I waited. This phone does everything great. The best feature is the incredible screen. I hang out with my wife all the time...but while she shops, I usually play games or watch a movie on my phone. The experience is second to none. The screen is large enough that you want for nothing other than no interruption.
If you like to watch movies or play games...do yourself a favor and get this phone....you will not be disappointed.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight

Product was amazing until the Android 4.3 update

My Samsung Note II was an amazing phone prior to the last Android update. The phones many features worked flawlessly with Android 4.1 providing a great user experience. Since the Android 4.3 update there are many features that no longer work at all, such as Smart Stay, while performance features like the smooth scrolling through web pages and emails are sketchy at best.
Overall a great phone rendered mediocre by a poorly executed software update.

I purchased the Note II when it was the most current galaxy model. My biggest surprise is how well it has held up and kept up to date. At first it seemed big, but now everything else just seems small in comparison.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: a little clumsy at first.

This phone can bring so much to the palm of your hand that you basically won't need any other devices. The versitility is so awesome...From it's easy to use functions, it's powerful performance, the convience of a few buttons, to keep the world at your fingertips, and it's quality are top notch, The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is everything I need and even comes with a cool lil S pen embeded into it that has many awesome features of it's own.
