It was time to look for an up-to-date device for everyday use, and that had some new features to try out. The Galaxy Tab S 10.5" rose to the top as far as features, and comments by others who already owned one. Also purchased was the matching Tab S 10.5 Bluetooth keyboard case by Samsung, which has proved to be a great decision as well. We added a 64GB micro SD to increase on-board storage. Between that and all of the cloud options, should be all that is ever needed. Added an OTG multi-cable, that allows you to connect a standard keyboard & mouse. So cool to be able to have a cursor when needed! Absolutely the brightest. clearest display I've seen. Watching a video gives the feeling that you could just walk into the image. Comes with and offers many more apps to get you started, great news apps, word-processing and more. The music app by Samsung is very cool, the interface is quite unique, so easy to navigate to your style of music and drill down to more specific songs & artists. The tablet upgraded itself to the latest available operating system immediately. Battery life is reasonable, I use it a few or more times a day for texting, surfing, reading, music & have put it on the charger every two days or less. Usually just before bed, although I think it charges rather quickly. Its' ability to connect to wifi has been excellent, either using at home or away. I've also connected to my phone while out, by setting the phone up as a temporary hotspot. I've used it in three scenarios, stand-alone wearing a nice thick silicone case, with the Samsung Bluetooth keyboard case, and in a modified phone stand connected via OTG to a full-size keyboard & mouse. I love having those options. The titanium finish is very attractive, the surface has very small perforations, or perhaps just indentations, that give it a textural appearance rather than just a smooth finish. haven't really had to clean the surface other than the screen since it always looks great. I don't see how you can go wrong with this tablet, based on the price point and the wide range of functionality.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, fingerprint security, plenty of manufacturer & third party accessories
I bought this tablet because of good reviews but am very disappointed that I cannot view all videos . I purposely bought the S Tab to use with a rear-view camera only to discover that it is not compatible with H.264 video codec . Now I have a camera that is of no use to me and a tablet that I have spent extra money on for nothing .
I was blown away by the screen quality.I had an IPad 2 and there is no comparison. It's fairly easy to learn,I love the SD card for extra storage, and the price is so much better than an IPad with similar memory or less.I am a very satisfied customer.....
This is my first tablet and I am a long time iPhone user. I did not want an iPad because it is pretty much the same thing as the iPhone, just bigger. So I switched things up a bit and went with the Samsung, it was a great decision. Great HD picture, perfect for watching Netflix. All around a great purchase.
Not very impressed so far. The battery life is worse than my 3 year old Ipad and even when it is at sleep it uses a lot of battery. Some videos freeze during playback even though the audio continues. It also does not display some pictures that are in the apps that come installed such as Flipboard. On the plus side the display is very nice but I would give up resolution for performance and battery life.
This is a really nice product, and easy to get used to!

I am enjoying my new Galaxy Tab S very much. It is an incredible piece of equipment. Beautiful graphics, and very easy to use. Comes with nice features and some nice apps already installed. I don't think I could be any happier with it.
I got the Samsung Bluetooth keyboard with my Tab S, and am very glad that I did. It also works beautifully and is not a problem to get used to, although the keys are slightly smaller than a usual computer keyboard.
The only thing I might possibly not be completely comfortable with is the fact that the keyboard and the tablet are not securely fastened to each other when using the tablet with the Bluetooth keyboard. It is possible for the tablet to fall out, so you just need to be somewhat careful with moving around. Other than that, no problems at all! Battery life seems to be good, and the keyboard charge lasts a long time - days.
I would highly recommend this device to others. I might eventually get some type of a padded case to slip the whole package into for additional protection, but the keyboard case is very nice in and of itself. I purchased the Skinomi Glass screen protector with the tablet, and it is a superb product. Installs nicely, and absolutely no problems with the screen sensitivity at all. You just cannot tell it is there.
