Won't Stop Printing

This printer prints the most beautiful photos of any printer I have ever owned. I use a Canon Rebel camera. My problem is once it prints a photo or document, it just keeps on printing until you turn it off. It looses it's memory. It gives me the message that the printer is not responding, sometimes it isn't and sometimes it is responding when it says it isn't and it prints and prints and prints. I have tried every option to fix it but so far it's still printing when it's on.
Pros: most beautiful true to life photos
Cons: won't stop printing.

Quality of print is good but this printer takes forever to wake up and start printing. Making a copy of a document from a sleeping printer takes at least 5 minutes.

We've used the printer for 4 months now and find that it uses too much ink but does have nice features.

Cons: High Ink Consumption

Quality Output

My old MP600, which I loved, finally bit the dust. I purchased this machine and liked its ability to print CDs. I read as much as I could about this multifunction printer prior to purchasing. I really don't need wireless at home so I use a USB connection. The text and photos are outstanding. I found it easy to set up. Found the CD tray that is attached on the bottom of the upper tray. Had a brief problem in finding out exactly where to insert the CD tray, but a quick check on the Canon site resolved that problem. I usually know beforehand if I will be using the printer,so I turn it on right away while I'm getting the photos, CD, or letter that I will print or scan. Yes, it does use a lot of ink, but I don't print anything and everything. If it's a draft, I set the printer preference to "fast," which uses less ink. And no matter where one purchases the ink, it's expensive. Have had this machine about 3 weeks and find the quality of the output as good or better than my old MP600.
Pros: Easy Setup, Sharp Tones & Colors
Cons: High Ink Consumption

A Headache

This machine was buggy to set up, is very slow, though my network is fast. It is noisy, gobbles ink, and produces decent copies when it doesn't jam or grab more than one sheet at a time.

This is sorry excuse of a printer is a piece of JUNK! I could walk to a print shop and back by the time this stupid thing warms up. Now it's got a repair Code B200 and it won't print anything. Don't say you've not been warned there's a ton of 1 star reviews on this site only because they don't offer minus zero reviews.

I have been a Canon enthusiast for years since buying my Canon A1 camera + all the lenses 45 years ago. Currently, my wife has a PowerShot A640 and I have the EOS SL1 + the current lenses. So this Canon printer was a shoe-in to buy. We have always liked Canon but this printer has tested our resolve. The real problems started a few weeks ago. As an aside, the warm up for it to run through it’s startup logic is nothing short of ludicrous (go do something else while it is warming up). Now it has started giving all kinds of error messages, low ink or empty cartridges when I’ve just put in new ones from Staples; printing blank pages; refusing to print because the ink has run out (new ones just put in!!). The question is do I cut my losses and toss this or do I go and buy yet another set of cartridges (and they’re expensive) and run the risk of continued issues. On balance I think i’ll Toss it!
