Dish washer does not wash dishes-look elsewhere

This came with our new home. It is a terrible dishwasher and we have just replaced it. The chief issue is that it does not actually wash dishes. At this point, we hand wash dishes, because even when we scrape and pre-wash plates, the dishwasher fails to clean, and in some cases, makes the dishes even dirtier. We've checked the filter, used the hot water start, washed on the heavy duty cycle, used jet dry, changed up our dish detergent....none of it makes a difference. Further, it is noisy, difficult to load, and does not hold an acceptable amount of dishes due to the poor design. Last night when the seal on the dishwasher busted, flooding our kitchen (after 2 years of use by the previous homeowner), we reached our breaking point and went out today and bought a new machine. GE should be ashamed to have this sorely inept machine - which we now call the "dish-dirtier" - as part of its product lineup. Look elsewhere.

Worst dishwasher I've used

I've lived with several dishwashers and this, by far, has been the worst. It does not clean my dishes unless I completely scrub them immediately and wash on pot scrubber mode. Even then, the cleanliness is spotty. Part being there is only 1 rotating water dispenser at the bottom of the machine. I didn't realize there were still washers made like this! The interior layout is terrible in that it's very narrow, the dividing vertical "spikes" are not straight but form a curve, thus eating up valuable space when loading mugs/bowls/etc as they don't easily fit over them and use more space than neccessary. I'm very disappointed that our builder uses this as their standard appliance model and have expressed my frustrations with them as well. Why this product is manufactured despite the negative reviews is a mystery to me. I'll be looking for a quality dishwasher at the local scratch&dent store as this is not a long term fit for my young family of 5.

Like living in a shack next to Niagara Falls

We have had the "pleasure" of using this piece of junk thanks to an apparently bad (for residents) decision made by the builder of our new apartment community.
The only time we have ever had our neighbor drop by to complain about the noise was the first time we tried to watch a movie with the dishwasher running. This things is so loud it's impossible to hear human speech in a movie while it's running if you're in the same area--which makes it about the worst choice for an apartment.
Oh and apparently someone didn't think that it was important to give cleaning directions since they didn't mention any in the manual. After two months of use from being brand new this thing smells like Manhattan in the summer when we run it.

Difficult to load many dishes

Our appliances came with our new construction home and work great, however, the dishwasher does not hold many dishes. Pots and pans are difficult to get to fit and its a little loud. I have to run a load every day because it fills up so quickly.

Cheap feeling

The dishwasher came with my new home. Was disappointed it is an old model for a new home. GE is ok, just wish they would have partnered with the newest model!!!!

The product was installed in our home about 3 to almost 4 years ago and now I'm getting a water leak at the bottom right corner.
