Builder's choice, not mine

This product was a standard install in our new home. I guess they were looking for the cheapest piece of junk that they could get away with. It is terribly loud, and even after I completely rinse all food residue off the dishes they come out covered in white spots and streaks ( even with jet dry). The drying feature does not work. I have to hand wash half of the dishes after the cycle is done running (did I mention they look clean before I put them in?) The door leaks soapy water onto the hardwood floor. The baskets are designed so poorly that there is not room to wash one meal' s worth of dishes for my family at one time. Conclusion: I am replacing this three week old appliance with one that does as the name implies-washes dishes. It WILL NOT be a GE product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Slides DO NOT slide and more

Upper rack Slide is so "tight" motion is difficult and movement rough.
Bottom rack moves slightly better and smoother.
Also cup rack openings are too small for most normal cups and all nomral mugs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would not recommend this product unless you like to rewash all of your dishes. It does not clean it's been repaired the first day after I moved into my brand new home, The GE appliances were part of the packaged deal with the home. It does not get hot enough to dry the dishes, I even turned the hot water heater up to help with the heating process, it still does not dry them, yes it goes through the dry cycle, to many of the dishes come out still dirty.

NOT for the faint of Heart..EXTREMELY LOUD

Do not expect a quiet time with this dishwasher. EVERY cycle or click of the dial literally sounds like a gunshot blast!! Not once, but at least 5 - 7 times while its on. DO NOT turn on before bed, because you will be awakened by the BANGS/BOOMS, I kid you not. This unit came with new housing, otherwise I would have it removed!!

Terrible Dishwasher...Pick Another!

This was the dishwasher that came with our new home. It began to leak within a few months, and is one of those dishwashers that require the dishes to be clean before you put them in. Can't wait until I get rid of it (to the dump),

Extremely loud. Door is very flimsy, once you open the dishwasher, the door falls toward the ground. Cleans fine, but did I mention it's loud?

Dishwasher NOT!

After only having this model for a week I had to call GE for service on it. My dishes come out full of water mark stains, the heat dry cycle does NOT work, the dishes are still wet 2 days later. When the tech came he said that it could be my water heater isn't set high enough (it's at 120 the recommended temp) what that has to do with the dishes drying I have no idea, nor was that explained. He did say however after a few months the water mark stains should stop, just keep using the Cascade drying agent, which I do, but from other reviews I see here I will ALWAYS have the water mark stains. Not happy but this is what came standard with the new home we bought =(
