Not sure if Webroot is doing it's job. I am still getting pop ups on my computer that says it has virus's. These popups are not "Webroots warmings." They say "windows" but I think they are a virus that Webroot has not removed. Also, when I click them off either Norton or McAfee screens pop up. I have neither.
So frustrated because it will not load and the screen to load comes on.Every single day, over and over and over again for months. And months and months. And of course, there's no human to get in touch with.So i'm not very happy with the service
I've been in-and-around tech for about four decades. Gosh, I hate dating myself. My point being that over the years I'd become cynical of third-party all-in-one security products for my personal use. It wasn't until recently that I let my guard down and got hit.
I did about a month's worth of research. Oddly, Webroot only came up in ONE comparison list of about the four of five trusted source. However, the list they did show up on was a list only available to people who hold the CISSP credential. Any product on that list -- will get my consideration. My initial buy in was the price. I bought the product based only on the top-line features [best-in-breed heuristics, non-invasive web scan..etc]
I WAS beyond shocked and delighted to find weeks later that this lovely product comes with a FREE LASTPASS PREMIUM subscription. Whaaaaat? Lastpass alone costs .. well, you know..
So in closing, this product meets and exceeds what is needed to ensure 'security' on the desktop. The addons that come with the subscription has created a loyal customer. One who is currently working with his professional team to consider placing them in contention for an upcoming corporate project.
