The thing is, if a product like this is working well, in the background, stopping bad websites, and scans at night, it is just not in your face. I've had it installed for about 3 weeks. Does it work? I guess... It has never gotten in my way or slowed me down like other products have.

The best protection for your computer?

I recently moved to a windows PC after 10 years on a Mac. All of a sudden I felt vulnerable. I haven't bothered with anti-virus or any protection for that matter when I was using my Mac. I quickly did some Google searches for the best anti-virus software, but wasn't happy paying the price for the best recommended ones. I came across a review which said Webroot was the best and was amazed at the scan speeds, and quite happy with the price (half the price than most popular anti-virus software). I've been happy with it since. I don't even notice it running in the background nor when it's scanning, yet, I FEEL SECURE. Strange. I have a really basic computer, so it's not all that fast, yet the software still doesn't bog it down. I also like the in-built password manager. I didn't feel safe storing all my important passwords on Google Chrome and have since migrated all my passwords to the manager. I can see myself using Webroot for the long-term, and they're definitely unique in their cloud-based approach.

I like the operation of the software, but as hard as I try, I can not get password manager to work for me. It continues to error me that Webroot tool bar is not installed. I have searched evywhere, on line, community, support, no luck. I use Mozilla Firefox, maybe that is the problem. I gave up and do not use it.

I had used a popular AV for 2 years but the constant updates and pop up reminders in addition to the renewal notices 2 months before the expiration and deactivating totally 1 month prior was the last straw for me. I'm glad i switched so far but have not had any major infections either. Not that i really want one.
