Great Printer / EXPENSIVE Toner

Printer works great. Crisp clear prints but if you do very much printing the toner is really small and very expensive.

Great printer and functions, but running costs very expensive

Great small office printer / scanner / copier, we love the impressive features and print quality but very disappointed by the rate it gets through the (tiny) toner cartridges - even the high volume ones. Several times the running costs that we are used to for similar color lasers.
The toner is glossy compared to the matte toner of most other brands. Very nice high quality output for general documents and graphics, photographs are pretty good but not quite ink-jet quality.
The front-panel user interface is OK - could be a little better thought out to make it simpler and more intuitive to use - Software (networked) install was a dream.
I love Xerox printers, but wont likely purchase one again because of the very high cost of toner.
I would recommend this to a friend!

excellent machine for the money

The machine is much better than any hp product I have purchased the last several years. All of its qualifities are excellent, speed, print quality, etc. M;y own problem is that it will not function in the email aspect, although xerox attempted to fix it. I would also recommend the envelope printing feature which is excellent.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Can't set up preview for scans

I found this machine frustrating because I can't set up preview for scans. That means you have to go into your folder and look through all the numbered scans for the one you are looking for. It seems like preview (and then the ability to save with your name of choice) would be a basic user-friendly option.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We have three of these machines connected to a network. They perform flawlessly and provide adequate quality for the price. Toner cost is somewhat high, but we do periodic volume printing.
We keep spare toner and other expendable materials in inventory as once an item is exhausted the unit does not run.
Will be purchasing more as other manufacturer printers expire.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Our Executive Director liked hers so much she had me purchase two more. Everyone loves the printer. It is fast and the print quality is wonderful. When I asked my co-workers to tell me about the printers all of them mentioned the two-sided default featured. Some like it, others do not and yet others are indifferent. We are not used to this being the default. One of my co-workers has tried to change that so the default is to print one-sided, but it seems to always go back to its original setting she tells me.

I've had this printer less than two years and it bleeds ink out of the cartridge. It also won't pick up the paper out of tray one. It just says "paper jam". For the cost of the product, I'd have to say that it only lasting less than two years isn't worth my money.
