i BOUGHT THIS PRODUCT 3 YEARS BACK, AND THIS IS MY 3RD YEAR WITH UPDATES, NEVER AN ISSUE ALL GET KNICKED INTHE BUD BEFORE ANYTHING HAPPENS TO THE DATA FILES... AND THAT'S WHAT I WANTED, NOT AFTER IT WAS ALL OVER...

I have tried Bitdefender, McAfee, Total AV, Norton, Malwarebytes, and Webroot all within the last 2 years, and all have been paid subscriptions.
I am not an IT person, not a pro at determining what is the best and worst with AV/malware/internet security.
I can honestly state that Webroot is my favorite of all the above-mentioned products, not because I can prove it is the best, but because it fits my needs above all the competition, installs easily, doesn't get in the way of using my PC with all kinds of popups and such.
I do wish so much that customer support (compared to the competition) was a little better lately, as I am still waiting for a response after days as I type this review, but my need for support is not specifically critical to the product working or not. My need for support is regarding another active Webroot subscription I currently have that seems to have problems within the console and was likely caused by me (I think, but not sure, which is why I need support, yet no one responds after numerous requests).
Regardless, I cannot help but love this product above all the others because it is simple, straightforward, practical, and apparently as effective as the others, all without seeming to take over the PC.
I'll hopefully be a Webroot customer for as long as I am a PC user.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Best protection I have ever used

I am confident that I have the best protection that I have ever paid for. I always used the Microsoft or Windows free protection but when I started having issues on my laptop and took it to the Geek Squad for diagnostic, they recommended that I get the protection that they use: Webroot. I do like feeling safe when I am online and have recommended it to my family and friends.

I have used Webroot for 6 years. I have never had a security issue with my computer in all of that time. Every year at renewal they are available to talk to in person (which is rare these days) and are always helpful, and reasonable with their renewal rates.

Best protection ever!

I think this is the most thorough security program I've ever had. It automatically scans as often as you've set it up for, or you can choose to scan whenever you decide you want it done. After each scan, it shows the number of files scanned and any threats detected. It also saves a log of everything that was scanned. I've used several other programs over the years, but I like this one the best.
