This is by far the best tablet in the market in my opinion. The display is so amazing, watching movies, playing games it's stunning. Very fast, love multi window the option to have two application opened at the same time is really cool. Don't have to keep going back and forth between two application, can just open two at the same time. Love the design, super slim and light. It's very portable. Overall I'm very happy with it, wouldn't trade this for anything.
The tablet is definitely what i expected. The feel in hand to the clarity of the screen is remarkable. Speed and processing time is huge for me and I must say this tablet definitely takes the title. It does not move sluggish and freeze up while running programs and for me that is a deal breaker because in this day and age noone has time to be restarting or rebooting several times. Overall this is a must have tablet, it feels great in hand, runs smooth and the screen quality is vivid and vibrant. Would definitely recommend to everyone.
While the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 is the first tablet I've owned, I'm no stranger to Samsung products. I've used two models of Galaxy smartphones (and three of their old-timey flip phones before that) and am currently using the S5 now, as is the rest of my family. I don't have a strong OS preference, but Samsung has my brand loyalty because they put out products that are easy to use and durable. And I mean DURABLE. (I'm not going to talk about the time my S5 was in the wash for half an hour. Rather, I won't talk about it at great length, but know that my phone came out of the machine just a little soapy and completely functioning.)
I did some preliminary research before deciding which tablet to purchase, as anyone would, and saw that people were singing praises about the Tab S' Super AMOLED display at every mention of the device. I can confirm that the display is every bit as nice as they say. Vibrant colors, truly dark blacks and easy to read in sunlight. Despite the display's large size, the tablet is insanely thin and light. Of course a protective case is going to add weight and bulk (something tablet case reviewers bring up a lot for some reason), but I think it's a matter of fact that tablet owners should buy cases and tablet cases are going to add some weight and bulk to the device. At least with the Tab S 10.5, we're starting off with something thinner and lighter than nearly all other tablets in the market. On the topic of cases, mine has not arrived yet due to delivery issues (*Not purchased from Samsung and not an issue with Samsung's shipping!), nor has my screen protector, but almost a month without armor has not damaged the tablet in any way. I haven't dropped it or anything (...don't be fooled into thinking I'm careless with my gadgets because of my laundry anecdote...), but I thought it was worth mentioning given my initial worry about fragility when I first held the tablet. Did I mention thin? Light? This looks to be another durable Samsung product.
One con I've seen people mention often is the speaker quality, which I don't think is too awful. it might be that I don't find this to be a problem because I typically use headphones, but I really didn't think the sound quality was a huge issue. I've also read some complaints about storage size, but what with how easily a micro SD can be purchased and mounted, this is another nonissue.
I did find that the placement of hardware buttons made vertical use of the tablet a little uncomfortable, but I'm getting used to it. At the time of purchase, I was debating waiting for the newly-released, vertically-oriented Tab S2 to counter this dilemma, but as a student with a Very Bulky laptop (plus a short charger and dead battery), I expect I'll be using my tablet horizontally with a Bluetooth keyboard at school daily. This, comparisons in display resolution, and the fact that I didn't want to wait around for a variety of compatible tablet accessories to become available, solidified my decision to bite the bullet and buy the S 10.5.
