to be honest I have the Samsung Galaxy pro 12.2 it is about the came to be honest. I bought this one for work. Cause of its size I like both but the 12.2 was just to big. This size is perfect.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight

I love how the 8.4 fits my hands. Also love the Vibrant display. Everything about this tablet is wonderful. I really like how I can sync my galaxy phone. I also can put my books on Kindle with this tablet and also have the book go onto my paperwhite. Reading on this tablet is also easy.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, lovely design

Power Issues

As if designed to anger its owners the Galaxy Tab S broke shortly after the 1 year warranty expired. I have owned and enjoyed many samsung products from galaxy phones to their 4k 65" tv's but the galaxy Tab S is a failure of Samsung. It has forced me to reconsider Samsung as my first choice for high end electronics.
Within several months of purchase the battery life quickly decreased by half and slowly declined further until i could only rely on the battery for an average of 20 minutes. Then the product would flicker with lines across the screen and then restart on its own but when it came back on it would have dropped from 98% power to 2% only to continue restarting over and over again. I was really excited about my tablet but now I'm disappointed that I can't trust Samsung which is really the only one I want.
Pros: Realistic color, Bright display, Built-in speakers, Lightweight
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This product is run by a processor that has 8 cores, and many features to optimize performance and battery life when needed. It is powerful enough to run any app, at amazing speed with many of them open at a time thanks to the 3 GB of memory. The best tablet to date, as well as the best company to date, samsung.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, same price as ipad air yet is more powerful

This tablet is perfect for what I need it for. It is user friendly and fun to use. I love the size of this tablet it is not too small and it it not too big.

Switching from ipad. Recently purchased a Galaxy S5 phone and absolutely love it. Wife just bought an Apple iPad mini. Like the size as we do a lot of traveling. But limited memory. So I thought I would try Galaxy Tab S 8.4. Storage capabilities are awesome. Very fast processor. Battery life so far so good. Haven't had it long. Display is AMAZING. Blows ipad retina away. All this and half the price of an apple. So far I am a VERY satisfied customer.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Realistic color, Lightweight

Wonderful and powerful piece of high engineering, science and art - it is simply beautiful and high quality. I have found Samsung applications pretty good, i'm really impressed (personally, i really like studio, gallery and software for camera). Finger scan works perfectly also. Main problem here is that unwanted applications can't be deactivated. So, with everyday use, this amazing tool is simply overloaded with completely useless tasks...
