Beautiful Unit, Beautiful Screen

Upon first opening the box, I noticed that this unit is very, very thin. The ads that mention this fact do not do justice to this fact. Unit is also very light.
Unit is very responsive, screen rotation fast, display beautiful, battery life very good. The speakers, although the smallest I've seen, sound very good considering their size. The camera is very good but taking pictures take some time for the unit to focus lock and snap the photo. Video from the unit is also good.
One thing to note is that many of the apps are loaded into RAM when the unit is started. 80%+ of the 3GB RAM can be in use in a short time in using the unit. Apps do not automatically shut down when you close them. Task Manager can close them or use an optional app "Power Clean" that can flush RAM memory, close open apps, etc. Some users complaints of screen rotation and speed might be caused by low free RAM.
The option for a Micro SD card helps with the 16GB unit giving more storage space for apps and files. Some apps cannot be moved to the SD card but many can. I would like to see a 32GB or higher model but they are not available as of this writing.
If you have vision problems, the 8.4" unit may be too small. While you can adjust icon and text size, the larger 10.1" unit might be a better choice.
I upgraded from a Nook HD+ and it takes some time to get to know this unit's operating system and features but it is well worth the upgrade. My wife has another brand of tablet and this is my preferred unit.
Overall I am very pleased with this unit. I also purchased the Samsung "Book Cover" and although high priced, it fits and protects the device nicely. The unit plus cover is still very thin.

I absolutely love this tablet. The picture quality is awesome, it fast and easy to navigate.

This is my first tablet, I am replacing my 4 year old iPad Touch. I just got this yesterday, but so far it is a fabulous product. It is super quick, great screen and gas a lot of great new features. The ultra power save looks like it will be great for longer trips.

I really like this device. The design is really good and as everyone knows the display is the best there is. I haven't experienced any of the lag I saw mentioned in some professional reviews. The finger print scanner does take a certain approach but it is rare that I have to swipe more than twice and most times once is enough. I really have't found much to complain about. I have opened a support request on the Camera menu which seems to be missing the Shutter Sound On/Off option. So for now I have to live with the sound or turn the volume all the way down while using the camera. I do wish the camera had a little better sensor since some of the low light and flash pictures can have a little noise at times.
Overall this is a really well designed tablet. My wife has the iPad Air and I wouldn't switch with her. The size is perfect for my needs and the weight is amazingly light. Excellent product!!!

I'm loving my new tablet. The surport team is great. I have called them several times .They answered every time. Even got on line with me so I could see what to do next time. Samsung answers the call in a timely manner. They get you right over to the team member that can help you right away. If I need one to remote connection , not one minute is wasted .Always a smile in there voice. They speak perfect English. There is no background noise. Can't say enough about SAMSUNG.

I bought the tabs for for direct compatibility with my galaxie s5, not thinking too deep into the other features the tablet has. I discovered an amazing HD display, smooth transition s and operation and great standard apps. I understand the reason for the texture d back but I am not the biggest fan, but I will say it does not feel as cheap as my S5

this is the best tablet I have tried

When I buy new technology I do my research. I test the products ao many times that the workers in the store get sick of my questions. After weeks of research and testing I chose the galaxy tab s. Its size is perfect. It fits right into my bag. It works so well for school and research for costume design. I can take pictures and store them right on my device. I know I know...I can do that on my phone. Phones are tiny. The galaxy tab s is just the right size.
I have everything I need right there on my tablet. I love it. It goes everywhere with me. It has been to a convention ia Rochester New York and to Lancaster PA. I love it.
