Had this tablet a little over a year. Super amoled display is beautiful. Battery life is really good. Had trouble and Samsung repaired under warranty with no hastle. Super fast return !

My first tablet and it does everything my old samsung phone did plus more. It's not a phone but it gives me everything else. The larger screen is great for photos and videos.
Pros: Realistic color, Bright display, Built-in speakers, Lightweight
Cons: needs a strap or handle for carrying!

Worth it for the OLED display alone

The Tab S8.4 has proven to be an excellent product for our intended use, watching videos while on planes and other locations. Battery holds up well enough for use over a 10hr flight. Touch screen works well and the build quality is excellent. My wife who was initially doubtful of the value of the S8.4 over the other models was converted immediately when she first started to use it. She is a dedicated iPhone user and has been amazed at the quality of the OLED display. I use a S6edge+ and the only thing I would like to see the TabS8.4 have is a higher definition camera comparable to that in my phone. The display blows away the iPhone 6 display, as well as all the others I have seen, in overall display quality. I am hoping that they will upgrade the operating system to the 5.0 Lollipop that is on the S6.
The only negative is the audio from the speakers is not as good as I would like, it really benefits from headphones, but that is to expected.

Love the tablet (Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4" ). Screen is large, touch screen and features are excellent. sound is superb. (the 8MP front facing camera is awesome too).

I feel comfortable saying this tablet has a very high premium feel in the hand and with the look. And the tablet does not fall short of the OCTA core processor handling everyday tasks upon extreme gaming video watching and just about anything you need to do. I have no negative comments about this device. I have returned mine to purchase the Samsung Galaxy Tab s 2. But not a day goes by where I don't miss my samsung galaxy tab s. If only I lived in a world where I could have both because of my day to day tasks I can use both to the fullest extent and be the happiest man on earth. Lol. This device is worth picking up for any price tag. It'd be a huge mistake not to buy it.
And my perfect opinion Apple cannot come close to any product of Samsung is putting out to date. Kudos to Samsung for finally stomping the competition and creating a class of their own.

Great tablet

This tablet is great. It looks and feels very nice. It's nice and light and I can hold it with one hand which is very handy for lots of things. The display is immaculate and it has lots of features. The only problem I've found with this tablet is the wifi version does not have a texting app pre-installed. I don't know about the LTE version but that's the only problem I have with this tablet the rest is great!
