i just spent two hours trying to register this product. every time i went to enter something it would go to a totally unrelated page and i would have to start all over. it was very difficult getting to the registration page to begin with. also i am having a problem getting my pictures into folders. i can only get them to display by timeline and although at one point, it showed me a list of categories, i have not been able to get back to that list and i have to tell you that i is things like this i have found very frustrating and a this point i am not sure if i would recommend it to anyone else. .
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: difficult to navigate
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

On my third tablet..

My first tablet worked for about two weeks and it failed.I lost all my information including security I had paid for.I received another tab thru Verizon. It had to be returned for similar issues.
I am now on my third tab.It constantly needs to be rebooted, will freeze up and now it will not take a charge.
WI'll never buy another Samsung product.
Pros: Bright display
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, too many to list.

Tough keys problem is horrible.

I have bought this device in August and the touch keys started to not light up just within a week. So, I chatted with a Samsung technical specialist on the Web and that person asked me to reset the device into factory mode. After that, it did work. However, it again started to show no lights while using. How am I supposed to press home button all the time? Especially when I use Facebook chat box on Facebook app, I cannot go back to newsfeed without back keys!!! This is my first time ever buying a tablet and I chose Samsung over Apple. I expected very high in this product due to its unique features and I'm very disappointed. I tried to reset after every fail attempt of touch keys. It has been 3 times that I have done. I will return it very soon if none of the advice on repair over the Web can be offered.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations

Battery dies when tablet is not being used

Purchased this first of July when they were released, getting the cover with it. Have enjoyed it for the most part.
Biggest pet peeve of late is dead battery. I will press the button on the side to shut it off in the morning (I don't power it down fully). If I happen to leave it in my knapsack I often start hearing the dreaded beep of low battery a few hours later -- while it has just been sitting in my bag -- not using it. A few weeks ago, encountered this when I had it sitting on my desk and had placed a notepad on it. Yesterday, had it inside its case, inside a soft-side tablet case -- made sure screen turned off before I put it inside. By early afternoon it was beeping and it hadn't been used since the morning.
There are days I do get to use it for several hours without a problem. Just extremely frustrating battery dies when I'm NOT using it. Tired of planning to use tablet during bus ride home at end of the day to find it has died while sitting idle. They claim 9 hours of battery life, but it will go from 100% battery to <5% in less than 8 hours of sitting idle in the bag.
Not sure if this is due to the cover design or what is happening. One would think that if you press the button to put the tablet to sleep, it should stay asleep until you press a button to wake it up.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight, samsung quality
Cons: battery will die when not in use
I would recommend this to a friend!

One really bad feature- Write Protection of the MicroSD Card

Here is the one drawback to this device… you CAN NNOT write to the SD card which in my view renders the entire microSd memory useless. 128GB you can’t write to from the tablet is really unacceptable. Aside from that problem it is a great tablet. I write a lot of my own tech notes and make them into an ebook. There is no way for me to save all that information on the 16gb along with the apps I download, so not being able to write to the sd card really hinders me. I am so tempted to return it

Cons: limited memory usage, too costly
