Good printer but expensive maintenance

Since getting this printer me and my small business' work speed and activity has continued to grow. This printer has been able to handle what my other previous printer could not. The pages come out within seconds of clicking the print button on our laptops, iPads, iPhones, or desktops. The quality of the prints in color is vivid and I would highly recommend this printer. Keep up the good work Xerox!

Not for network use

We have quite a few Phaser 6280 printers where I work, and they are great printers. Unfortunately, they were replaced with the 6600, which is slower than some 20 year old printers we still have. Print speed is acceptable with a direct USB connection, but on the network is pretty much an exercise in frustration. This is the only model of the 10 or more models we own that has this problem. Definitely do not recommend this for workgroup use.

Excellent Color Laser Printer!

I bought this printer for my home office and overall this is a very nice color laser printer. It's very fast and the print quality is way better than I expected. It printed #10 envelopes with ease and perfect alignment through the bypass tray. It printed on 28lb paper and it doesn't seem to have much difficulty with 60lb paper either!
The print quality is stunning and does very good with photos even on standard 24lb laser paper. I think an inkjet does marginally better with photos, but this is really great as far as color lasers go! The documents and charts look like they were printed with an offset printing press!
Setup was a little tricky as I was connecting through a network, but I liked how Xerox had explanation tabs to click on for each network setting to give a better idea of which selection to make.
The only thing now that I think I might whish was different though is the operating cost over the long run. Seems like it's going to be a little high.

This printer prints great quality prints. However the interface is clunky it takes a VERY long time to send a graphic job to the printer (15-20minutes) over usb or ethernet and there is no color adjusting option both on the driver or on the printer itself.
The driver settings are pretty primitive for a printer of this price. also registration is out 1/8th of an inch on duplex from front to back.
final comment ive printed about 200 sheets (approx 15% coverage) on my new printer and toner is down to 60% already

Great print quality

I like this printer. I use it to print photography course booklets, and the color has to be perfect. The best one I have ever had for print quality and ease of use. all of the color management is pretty much handled and is not the black art used to be with needed custom paper and printer profiles. I have been using the Xerox paper for a long time with another printer and my local print shop recommended the Phaser. The color is really surprising.

great workgroup printer

We use the printer to handle board reports and various other color intensive reports. It handles our workload perfectly and is far more toner efficient than our aging HP was. The quality of the prints is excellent! We don't run into jams and when supplies run low it doesn't require a call to IT to replace them. The modular supplies make it a great printer for any department to maintain. With the included setup tool it was extremely simple to setup on the network and roll out to the users. We couldn't be happier with our investment!
