Broke after 9 months

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The washer had an issue after 9 months of use. It started making a loud noise and would not complete the rinse cycle. The repair man said a major part had failed anf would need to be replaced. Since it is covered under warranty the repairs are not costing me, but would have expected it to last longer. Will not buy Maytag again.

Not worth it

Just under 3 years old and it needs a new gear case / transmission that will cost about $100 less than what we paid for the machine.

Good washer for the money.

Three years now, no repairs. I always use the bulky sheets setting to get full tub of water. For me, that works best. Clean and well rinsed clothes. I almost never do small loads.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Nightmare!

the sellers of my new home purchased this matching pair washer / dryer and the house was on market 2 years and so even though the pair is new and never used until I just used it. the new 2 year old washer doesn't function properly and because it is out of the warranty period and I didn't purchase it, it isn't covered. Brand new machine doesn't even operate properly! First load loud. Second load weird noises and no cold water. Now not operating at all. Really Maytag?
