This is a very easy to use and efficient steamer for vegetables and rice. We used it daily for more than 6 years. Unfortunately, during that time the numbers wore off the timer ring, so we had only our own marks to know the time we were setting.
In the end, the timer knob shaft broke, making it jam in the casing and stop the timer shaft from moving. Cooking continued, but since the timer was stuck, it would not turn off automatically.
Since all the components were showing considerable age, we decided to buy another, and it is working as well as the original.
I would recommend this to a friend!
