I went from the most builder basic range to the Jenn Air, a whole new world is spot on! I felt like my food was always turning out either under-cooked or over-cooked due the unreliability of my old oven. I do feel like I am going through some trial and error with the cooktop....just because I am not used to the burners reacting so quickly and accurately. It is amazing how much more enjoyable something that once seems like a chore is when you have a well performing appliance. I am excited to put this to use with our large extended family. Before we could only have family gatherings at my inlaws because they were the only ones in the family with a double oven. But with the addition of the baking drawer and the added speed of the cooktop I believe we will now be able to accommodate the whole family for holidays and special occasions. I think the only thing I wish this range had is the connect-ability to other smart have devices that some of the other appliances in the Jenn Air line up have.
Pros: Easy To Clean, Heats Up Quickly, High-Powered Burners, Attractive Design, Large Surface Area
I love the cooktop and the oven. The performance is outstanding. I wish the control for the oven was designed differently though. It is so close to where you cook it is so easy to get scratched buy pots and pans.
Pros: Attractive Design, Heats Up Quickly, Large Surface Area, Easy To Clean, High-Powered Burners
We have used an induction cook top for a couple years, so when it came time to replace the current range it was a no-brainer to go with an induction range. The only real issue was that the old drop-in range was smaller than the new slide-in range. This required cutting the cabinets and countertop. The range itself works as expected. Much faster than a standard glass-top range - although the type of pan has a lot to do with the heating speed. The Chantal pans heat faster than the Circulon. There are no knobs, everything is touch controls on the top of the range. This makes it easy to see the controls, but also makes it easy to inadvertently touch the oven controls. The controls are fairly intuitive, but we still occasionally go back to the owner's manual to figure some things out. The induction generator 'hum' is barely noticeable. The oven heats at the same speed as every other oven. There are two timers: one for the oven (which shuts off the oven when complete) and one for the cooktop (which does not shut off the burner when complete). As induction ranges go, this one is reasonable in price, but still about twice the cost of a quality radiant heat range with convection oven.
Pros: Large Surface Area, Heats Up Quickly, Attractive Design, Easy To Clean, High-Powered Burners
Cons: Expensive, Much larger than the previous range
Love the design. Waited over a month for it as it was on backorder with the pro handles. Wish there was a clock that faces the front vs. flat. Thanks giving is approaching and can't wait to use it. The only cons are that it arrived with a broken oven draw that wouldn't close all the way, the induction cooktop is noisy especially on the high setting and the grill accessory arrive warped and it doesn't make a connection.
Pros: Attractive Design, Wow factor in the kitchen, Heats Up Quickly, High-Powered Burners
Most impressed with the control on the burners. Omelets are fluffy! Recovery time is so amazing when adding to boiling water/stock. Sautéing messier products is a snap by covering the adjacent burner areas first with paper towels etc.
Pros: Large Surface Area, Heats Up Quickly, Easy To Clean, Attractive Design, High-Powered Burners
It was our daughters wedding and not a time for your stove to stop working. We did our homework and found the best stove for our kitchen. The Jenn-Air Induction works great for someone who needs more flat surface area in their kitchen (when not in use). The professional look and clean lines are great. The top works exactly like its suppose to and the oven is huge and bakes evenly, I have yet to use the bottom oven but looking forward to it.
Pros: Easy To Clean, High-Powered Burners, Heats Up Quickly, Attractive Design
Cons: cannot use many large pans as burners are close
Haven't had a chance to do very much baking yet - however, love the slide out rack -all materials are sturdy and appear made to last. Love the slide in unit which makes my new, somewhat small kitchen area stand out, (in addition to my new Jenn-Air French Door refrigerator).
