This phone is a great all around phone. I run my own carpentry business and this phone does it all from note taking to estimates to billing. Love the large display. I just wish the the version that my carrier provides did not have removed features like the scroll around home screen.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Lightweight
I would recommend this to a friend!

What I've been waiting for!

Finally! A phone than I can also use as my notebook (work and personal) and as my digital sketchbook! OK, I'll be honest - it's mostly for my digital sketchbook. I'm still playing around with it (about a week ownership) but I"m excited to put on Sketchbook Express. I'm still looking for a good notebook option, especially one that I can use at my job. MS OneNote would work, but my company doesn't allow cloud syncing, and Evernote doesn't support handwriting input (that still baffles me, but that's a rant for another day).
I was afraid it would be too big, but it's not. It fits great in my pocket, but I can just use it with one hand. I've had previous Samsung phones before and I thought they were all designed well. In fact, my first 'smartphone' was a Samsung SCH i760. I loved that thing, even past my regular upgrade date.
I only have 2 complaints - 1) the power button is directly on the other side of the volume keys, which means I always accidentally change the volume (i.e., the ringer) when I turn the screen off with my thumb and I don't know it. And 2) the vibrate option isn't the last option for ringer volume - it's total mute. Which means I can miss a call or alert because it accidentally went to mute when I want it on vibrate (see #1). That doesn't make sense to me. On my previous phones, vibrate was the last one.
However, despite these cons (which I think knocked it down 1 star), I am excited to use my otherwise AWESOME Galaxy Note II !!!!
This is a premium quality device that is as close to perfect as the current state of technology allows. The S-spen seems well done, and the touchwiz features are well thought out. Usually newer ideas and products tend to be so rough as to be kind of junk in consumer terms but the galaxy note ii has been the Opposite from that for me in almost every way.
After saying this I wish it had better durability, water proof for accidentally dropping in a little water, drop resistance for a drop from a standing person to cement. Since cases are the standard not the exception it seems reasonable to try and integrate the features of them somewhat. Might as well come with a couple screen protectors and one preinstalled.
during one handed use I mis-press the physical keys a lot. camera seems to take grainy pictures for me.
went to upgrade my Iphone4 for the 5, and came across the note 2, the salesperson was eager to sell me the IP5 but as he was talking to me he kept playing with his cell and at first was OMG the size and after a good 20 min demo of his note 2, i was sold.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, size
Cons: need front speaker not loud enough
I would recommend this to a friend!
