This is the first Samsung mobile device I have had since my first Galaxy Tab 10.1 - a tablet of such poor manufacturing quality that I thought I would never go back. But after watching the Galaxy S III do so well in the press and with my friends I took another look.
As good as the Galaxy S III is, both in specs and in actual usage, I felt the Galaxy Note II would better meet my needs in the categories of view-ability and battery life. And 6 weeks later, I couldn't be happier with my choice. I not only get a full day, and then some, from the stock 3100 mAh battery, but the Galaxy Note II is a dream to use. Fast. Fluid. Powerful. And packed with all the features I look for in a smart phone (or tablet, even) - including some features I didn't even know I wanted, but am glad I have.
The Samsung Galaxy Note II is the best mobile device on the market today. Bar none! I made the right choice, the best choice for me.

Great Phone!

I'm a field technician for a company that installs, services and maintains surveillance systems, data systems and voice systems. I use this phone all day and it's one of the most important tools I carry. I use the mobile hotspot with my laptop and the connection is usually screaming with the 4G LTE. I initially bought this phone for the big screen and quad core processor. I remote connect to systems all the time and the big screen really helps. I actually use S pen for notes in meetings. I don't have to worry about carrying around a pad and paper any more.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: expensive

Love the Note II

I went to my carrier's store last month to buy a new phone to replace my 2 year old android phone. I had done some research online and had intended to get another "top rated" smart phone but when I saw and held the Note II my mind was immediately changed. The big bright 5.5" screen, the high capacity removable battery, the S-Pen, and the Multi View features made my decision for me. I've had the Note II for a little over a month now and I have no regrets making this my new phone. I must add that the battery life is incredible and I normally need to charge it every 2 or 3 days!
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, removable battery, long battery life
Cons: none

Fantastic Device!!!

At first I was skeptical about purchasing this phone because of the size, but after playing with it in the Verizon Wireless store and with the salesperson's knowledge and recommendation I was SOLD! At first I was going to purchase the Galaxy S3, but I was also thinking about getting a tablet in the future; so why not weigh my options and just get the Note 2 since technically it fits in the middle of the GS3 and Tablet. Not to mention, for only $100 more over the GS3; you get the whopping QUADCORE processor, bigger screen, S-PEN and the more capabilities you have. I couldn't be any more happier. Keep up the good work on the great products and I look forward to seeing your future devices!

VZW 10.5g Galaxy Note II

It performs really well and has lots of bells and whistles; some that are locked down by VZW. The design of the phone is actually great, however VZW badged it and loaded half the 16g storage with unremarkable apps that can not be deleted. The S3 was able to come out of the VZW shop with 12g of 16g. The external SD card slot is really a cloud and not capable of utilizing any application data. You can not move any of the forced bloat there or add your own needed, highly rated apps. The battery is removable and a full charge will get you through a busy day. Screen is big and 720 HD is plenty for this size. Phone and camera are very capable. The larger handset is a plus to me as it feels more like a landline. Pairs easily to Bluetooth. This phone has excellent potential, and one only hopes that an update allows an uninstaller to rid itself of the bloated apps that are so useless to some. An update to allow the external SD card to hold application data and capabilities, rather than just storage that could have been found in the cloud..

Cons: Did not meet expectations, too many pre-installed apps, bloated with unnecessary software, can not uninstall preloaded apps and software, limited capability of external sd card, not 16g of storage

Bigger is Better

I'm Luvin' it!
After living with my Palm Pre Plus (WebOs was great.) for 2+ years I am enjoying my Note 2 with a screen almost 3 times larger. But that's not all, the N2 is fast, beautiful and innovative. Still learning all the features but I would recommend it to anyone interested in a smartphone.
