This product isn't as good as the GE I once had.

I purchased a condo which was new and included this brand new product. In my last place I had a very nice, new GE refrigerator with the bottom drawer. The quality of that one outweighs this one by at least 50 %. Granted it may have been more expensive, but the drawers in this one stick, and I've already broken one because it didn't shut all the way when I closed it and the door hit it creating a crack. It also sounds like water is leaking from it more than just on occasion. I'd probably go with the GE the next time, sorry about that!

Would have loved a slightly taller model with lower drawer but would have meant remodelling my kitchen! So, although the freezer capacity is not as good as a bottom drawer model, I am happy with the combination of features plus ice and water dispenser, Just wish the handle on the fridge would not pull off (it does on occasion).
I would recommend this to a friend!

I am very diappointed with the cheap way that thi unit has been built and how noisey it is. The door squicks (a Whirlpool service man tried to fix and could not), the ice maker is loud. My old Whirlpool "side-by-side had a unit for cooling the drinking water, this one has a roll of tubing. The door covering the ice compartment falls off and is also made cheaply. My old unit was much better made.Pamela

We purchased this fridge about a year ago and have had no issues. We love it, there is a lot of space and it's easy to clean. It looks very nice, too - we have it in black.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Four repairs in 8 months

I like the look of the side-by-side and it runs very quiet, but have experienced these problems:At delivery, humidity control drawer was cracked (not the fault of Whirlpool); refrigerator door sagged 1/4" below freezer door; refrigerator handle rose up 5/8" above freezer handle; drip pan leaked water onto my hardwood floor. Glad I spent the extra for a 5-year extended warranty.

I wasn't sure if I wanted a side by side...so many people say...not enough room...BUT...I have found that it is enough room for me...I can get a 10-12 llb turkey in without a problem..It is perfect for 1 or 2 people...Also keeps my vegetables fresh longer than my other fridge...I don't seem to throw much out....Easy to wipe down....NOT TO BIG AND NOT TO SMALL...GREAT FRIDGE!
