It’s a great pot. I use it almost everyday. The two size of drain holes in the lid make it convenient.

Cuisinart 3qt non stick.

this replaced a similar pot from a different. brand. My criteria was size, non stick, pour spout and top strainer holes. Cuisinart has good quality products. If I could point out a downside I wish the hand was a little thicker. I feel like i need to use two hands to carry a pot full of water.

The handle needs to be sturdier, more of a 'man handle' for that size pot hard to get a good grip as it is grooved and not wide enough for the weight when it is filled
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Excellent Saucepan with One Minor Criticism

The tears that left my eyes and found my cheeks spoke volumes when I realized that my old, trusty saucepan had started losing its non-stick coating. And me with a pot roast waiting to be sauced with a wonderful gravy just like Momma used to make (well, someone's Momma; my Momma's gravy was always horrible.)
I forged ahead with making a pan gravy in a much too large stock pot, but the deed was done, the roast was fork tender, the gravy was sublime, and my dingy whites were still in need of some great bleach. After dinner, it was time for me to take a stand against my dying saucepan, so I pitched it and sought out a fine saucepan.
Ah! The Cuisinart 3 Quart (that's 2.84 liters for those of you who are anti-quart) Pour Saucepan seemed a fantastic replacement. I ordered it and I waited. Candles were lit, prayers were said, wishes were made, and, then, a knock on my door. Ah! My neighbor needed some mail that got mistakenly delivered to my place. Hours later, another knock! The delivery person was there, with a box, and a smile, and a pad I had to sign.
After closing the door, blowing out the candles, offering prayers of thanks and thinking that wishes do come true, I opened the box. And there it was: a thing of beauty is a joy forever. It was so Cuisinart. It was lovely and I wanted to make gravy but that would be odd when I had nothing that called for gravy. So, I made a couple of hard boiled eggs. Yes, I know. This is a saucepan, not a make hard boiled eggs pan, but it worked. The pan evenly distributed the heat, the long shiny handle was perfect, the pour spout was ready to proudly drain away the water. And then... Ouch! The handle on the lid was pure metal and it was hotter than Ann-Margaret on a Dean Martin Special. I grabbed a potholder and was able to pour off the water, give the pan a shake to break up the shells and plunked the eggs in cold water.
The pan was a workhorse and the normal ring from all the minerals in my local water supply was almost non-existent. I quick wipe with a paper towel and the saucepan was gorgeous again. And my eggs became Deviled Eggs and were fabulous (the secret is to add just a bit of seasoning salt and garlic powder to your egg mixture).
I have used the pan many times now and it is quite grand. My only concern is that the handle on the lid should have some sort of rubberized treatment. My hands would be very thankful. And despite the sizzle I received on my hand on my first use, I am fine as I had therapy the next day and worked through it all. I still love you, Cuisinart.
So, in summation, I give this pan 5 stars even with the lack of a cool to touch handle on the lid. I am flexible and can adapt. I am strong and willing to accept that the world cannot be perfect. But this saucepan comes very close to being so.

I love the this pan, it is the size I utilize most often when cooking. I like the fact I can drain it easily. It is made well, with all the right features not only in the pot , but also the lid.

Heats up quickly, the bottom stays flat, and the glass cover does not fog.
