Great Protection, Bulky

i have always trusted otterbox, with my iphones and now i have owned this since it came on the market, the case is great and is very well built, a it bulky but sure to keep ur galaxy tab2 safe from harm while travelling.

Robust protection

First off, I did list "Heavy" as both a Pro & a Con. Pro as I know it's still in my pack, Con as it always reminds me it's still in my pack.
That aside, this is a seriously tough case. The hard shell is sufficiently thick to reduce any outside forces like twisting/bending which is good if it's in your pack and you take a hard fall. The rubber shell provides a great grip whether or not gloves are being worn. The cover shield snaps firmly in place and provides a great stand (in landscape mode, in portrait mode it is unable to support itself). the port covers can be tricky to open, but that may just be due to its being new and not really "broken in" yet.
The bezel surrounding the screen makes for a great grip when using the tablet in general. The rubber makes using the power and volume buttons easier and more pronounced. The bare buttons are very shallow and easily bumped but not with the OtterBox covering them. A nice firm push is needed resulting in a "click" feeling that wasn't really there before, which is great IMO.
The clear screen protector in no way hampers the device's response to touch. If anything, it almost feels like it makes is more responsive, but that might just be a placebo effect.
Having owned your other various dry-cases in the past, OtterBox was my first choice for my new tablet's protection. Price is very reasonable for what you get. You invest enough in your electronics financially, it only makes sense to protect them.
Now the only reason I have to replace my gadgets is being bored with them instead of them being broken. Darn :) Keep up the great work OtterBox!!!

I purchased the Otter Box, for my Galaxy Note 2, and was really impressed with the degree of great construction of the case since I work as a Automotive Transmission tech and oils are part of My Work, Holds up fantastic !! , really well Made, So I purchased The One for My Galaxy Tab 7.0 and the same great quality, Durabilty and looks really protects and with cost of Electronic devices , well worth the cost for A high level of protection

One flaw

I love the otterbox, however it can't be used in the portrait view on the stand, which for me is a major flaw as I use this with patients and some of the apps I need are in the portrait view.

I have arthritis in my hands and I am unable to open the Samsung Galexy Tab 2 7.0. I plan on keeping it but I will have to take it back to the store to get it opened. It is heavy but I hope I can get used to the weight.

First off, I have to say I am a long time Otterbox fan. I think I have at least 6 devices in Otterbox cases. The protection is Great. I have actually found myself choosing my devices based on whether I can get an Otterbox for it. I am pretty sure the case on my phone has saved it's life more than a few times. Makes sense to spend a little money to protect these eletronics we love and gain the peice of mind. One of my cases had a problem. I call customer service and explain, they take care of it like profesional company should. Great products, Great company and Great customer service... What else can you ask for.

Otter Box never lets me down, I have a 4 and a 2 year old, and our tablets have been stepped on, thrown, everything, and our otter box has had protection amazing. And for the company to completely replace any outterbox that has been worn, they will send a new one NO ?s asked. Just follow the directions. This is one amazing company. I wish more were as loyal in the products they stand behind!

I have at least 3 devices in Otterbox cases. We have a 2 yr. old and she has dropped my tablet a few times and it is still working because the protection of the Otterbox case is so awesome. I am positive that the case on my husband’s phone has saved its life more than a few times. It just makes sense to spend a little money to protect the electronics we love so much. I won’t even think about buying a device unless there is an Otterbox case for it! The only downsides to this case are the stand that comes with it is great for viewing in landscape, but it doesn’t stay standing in portrait, even though it is supposed to. The earphone cover has the opening on the wrong end of the flap and the charging flap is a little difficult to keep my cord plugged in without bending my cord, but I love the way that these protective covers keep out the dirt and dust and whatever else may get in there while I carry it in my purse or backpack. Over all it is a great case.
Pros: High quality, Durable, ease of use
Cons: no variety in colors, heavy, bulky
