Saves your information

I love how this saves your information year to year so there is no need to enter names and addresses each year. Banks, IRA’s that I never received statements from could easily be forgotten but this program reminds me that I had entered amounts from these the previous year.
Pros: Easy to prepare

The Accuracy Review of the State would not go. So we deleted the form which HAD PREVIOUSLY BEEN PROVIDED TO US. Why didn’t the form identify the issue BEFORE so that we would know.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare

Been using H&R for just about 2 decades and that speaks volumes. Only one year had a problem (last year) besides that flawless for me. Simple, intuitive and great interface. Only issue it's getting too expensive. No more increases please.

First time that I EVER had to file a 1040X...

Dunno if I was more upset that the final review didn't catch the error, or that neither did I.
Everything was pretty routine, all the numbers looked typical and showed I should get about a $2K refund as in the previous couple years. After submitting my Federal return and printing a file copy, I noticed the program entered 0 on line 16 and realized that I owed money instead. I tried creating a whole new return to see what happened and the software refused to enter any tax on line 16 no matter what I did.
Filing the amended return wasn't a difficult process, but it shouldn't have been necessary. I'm not sure if I ever want to use H & R Block again after that experience.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Unregistered itself and lost my return

Last year I had no problems with the software. This year when tried to import last years data, I found out the 2021 software unregistered itself and deleted my returns

Wouldn’t Upload W2’s

Very frustrated that I had to manually load my W2’s. Denied uploading stating they were 2021 doc’s when they were 2022. Ridiculous and unnecessarily time consuming. Did not have that issue with Turbo Tax! Going back to them next tax season.
