Never liked a compact camera not until now.

The EX2F is a really great camera. It can shoot raw, has wifi, and Photos can sync to my mobile phone right away. (First worried that It wont work well with an iphone but I was wrong.. The Samsung Mobile link app and the remote viewfinder app works very well.) Also the bright f/1.4 lens that makes it easy to take pics in low light and the full manual control over exposure. I could go on and on but to cut it short. This camera is amazing.
This camera offers a lot for a serious compact class camera. The screen is crisp with the AMOLED swivel feature and the overall design of the camera feels very well crafted. the manual mode gives full control of the camera and its array of features. I do wish the lens were interchangeable but the NX series gives that feature so i wont complain. Low light capabilities are the best in this camera and i rarely use flash anymore. I do wish the zoom too were of farther length than 3.3x but for the size and the features, I find this worth every penny.
I very much liked my TL500/EX1 but it lacked HD video and some other features that are in the EX2F. I am extremely impressed with this upgrade. Everything is improved including image quality. I especially like the new shortcut menu system in which pressing the Fn key shows the various adjustments available for the selected shooting mode. Turning the back wheel chooses the adjustment and turning the front wheel makes the adjustment. The built-in ND filter is nice. The burst mode has changed so now a maximum 10 full-rez frames are shot at a choice of three intervals. I like the wifi features, especially the remote viewfinder/remote to work with a smart phone. Samsung says it works only with Android but they released IOS apps so it also works with iPhone (that's what I have). The cloud wifi is only with SkyDrive and you can choose to have uploads at full resolution or 2 mp. Most of the novelty features are shot at 5 mp or less. The panorama feature works very well but is a resolution of 1440 x 1088 pixels with one dimension expanding in the direction you pan. The camera automatically crops the pan to create a rectangle. The manual is excellent. There's a lot to learn. The battery is only charged in the camera and takes 4 hours. Get a second battery and an external battery charger. The ring around the lens unscrews for adding an adapter that can support screw-on filters. The Smart mode is, indeed, very smart. I've avoided so-called Smart modes in the past but the few tests I've done with this one earned my attention.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, built-in nd filter, easy access to settings adjustments, wifi viewfinder/remote for android & ios
Cons: low resolution for panoramas, no external battery charger

EX2F all around excellent digital camera

EX2F has the brightest lens available in a small form factor size digital camera. Fast focus in the smart mode operation. Ease of use is excellent partially because it has a fully articulated swivel display. I find this handy especially for taking quick shots of small children. The resulting image isn't the typical you're looking down at the child. And you don't need to get on your knees to get a straight on shot either. The screen technology provides a high contrast image and doesn't bleach out in bright light situations. Two things that could be improved is a greater zoom than 3.3x and availability of more accessories for the EX2 which would make it stand out from all competitors.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight, shirt pocket size form factor, wifi connectivity that really works
Cons: limited zoom, few accessories available
I would recommend this to a friend!

An enthusiast model that has captured my imagination!

Been shooting with a variety of cameras since 1998 - in fact, well over 100 models. So I'm always in the game for a superb enthusiast model (or Bridge camera as they used to be called).
I came late to the game with the EX2F, a good 1-2 years after it was initially released. But I must say that once I received it and began capturing images with it, I was taken aback in a very positive way. Although I have a half-dozen other brand enthusiast high-end compact cameras, this Samsung trounces many of them, in particular, in the area of image clarity. The definition and clarity of the optics on this EX2F is nothing short of amazing!
The build quality is absolutely superb, the feel is wonderful, and the ergonomics are spot on (well, in my opinion, that is). But I must again state that the clarity of the images captured by the EX2F is a direct result of the superb optics used in this camera - the results can be downright stunning (appearing more like a much higher megapixel camera).
Why Samsung doesn't continue on with this line is beyond me. I suspect this is a "sleeper" model in that it may not have sold in droves initially, but once you discover this gem of a camera, you want to keep it in your collection (which I plan on doing).
So Samsung - thanks for producing this camera. I am truly amazed at it's capabilities.
Pros: Durable, Lightweight, superb imagery colors and contrasts, wide variety of settings
Cons: wish samsung would continue this line

When looking, wanted these features or better. 2.0 Bright lens 3" Display HD movie mode Easy manual controls This camera was jam packed with more than I was looking for. Add tilt and swivel, 1.4 lens, easy menus and not too big. Fast enough and sharp pics and movies. WiFi too! Samsung add EVF or OVF and 10x or more zoom and you have a perfect 10!!! Very good camera.
I purchased the EX2F one month ago to be a step-up camera for me from the Samsung SH100. ( My wife has decided the SH100 is now her camera). After reading about many cameras I decided on the EX2F because of the wifi option ( the SH100 has that too) and the many other features it offers, most of which I have not yet tried. I was particularly attracted by the F1.4lens. To date, it has turned out to be everything I thought it would be....and more. I am really looking forward to using this camera in Europe this summer. I would suggest that the lens cap be modified to be the "push-thru" type or "retractable" type rather than the removable type - but this is a very minor old-school issue. Great Camera that I recommend!
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Realistic color
Cons: no cons
I would recommend this to a friend!

Fast camera, fast af, great great images till 400 iso, still very good after that. The aperture at wide angle setting is truly amazing, the silence of use and the rotating screen makes candid shot as true pleasure. I don't like the fact that a standard flash can't trigger with this camera, a true pity.
