TurboTax Experience

TurboTax is very easy to use. It is straight forward when using the guidance feature. I like the fact that the program returns to right where you last left off when you have to end and return later. The help features are very nice for getting additional information when you are not clear on something.
What's great about it: easy to use
What's not so great: data entry boxes could display clearer for initial selection.

2012 Tax

Ref the above con, the IRS material is worse, but it seems you could make it easier just by inserting the proper figures or figuring it out from the information already inserted.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: We are in TX, a community property state. The instructions were not clear at all for filing married filing separately.

Turbo Tax Review

Overall use the Easy Guide and you'll have few problems completing the program. The only difficulty I had was trying to re-enter my sales tax deduction after entering the wrong choice. Also, I'm not quite sure if I completed the refinancing of my home correctly, but I think I got all the deductions. Still this is a great program and I keep using it year after year. Oh, a phone number to call if you get really stuck would be nice--especially if it is prominently displayed.
What's great about it: I found every aspect of the program easy to follow-great easy guide- with the 2 exceptions below.
What's not so great: Had problems with sales tax entry and entering the refi of my home

Great product. Have used this for a long time and plan to continue to use it. Even showed my 14 yr old how it works in hopes that she gets a job and needs to use it soon.
What's great about it: Easy to use and understand. Picks up info from previous year

Easy and quick to use

I have used TurboTax for several years and keep coming back. I am confident that it is providing correct advice. It is a quick and efficient way to handle our taxes.
What's great about it: Easy to use, help is available when needed, clear instructions, format has stayed consistent through the years.
What's not so great: As great as TurboTax is, it still couldn't keep us from owing this year.

Frustrations Filing

It was frustrating to finish doing my taxes but then be unable to file and then the forms weren't available. Then, when I finally got everything to download correctly and process through - which took a couple of tries - the amount of the two fees to process my return and use direct deposit were a surprise and cost more than expected. Plus, to see the another bank would be involved in the transaction and have access to my bank and returns, was another surprise and just did fly with me.
What's great about it: Process itself easy
What's not so great: Forms not available & fees!
