I've used Turbo Tax for several years now and will NEVER go back to doing my refund on my own. Turbo tax makes the entire process simple, straight forward and easy to understand. It's more than worth the reasonable cost not to have to struggle through reading pages of IRS instructions and still not being sure what I've just read. Very user-friendly and convenient, a real time-saver.

Just a great product!
What's great about it: Graceful screen design and intuitive flow of data that needs to be entered
What's not so great: Some difficulty finding my actual tax liability after itemized deductions entered

TURBO TAX Refund!

This is about the 5th year that I have used Turbo Tax. Other that procrastinating to get my taxes done, I really enjoy doing my taxes with Turbo!
I tell everyone how easy it is to use Turbo! Several people have told me that they would like to try Turbo Tax. ( I hope that they do and see how easy it is!)

What's great about it: Cheaper and less stressfull than taking everything to a preparer. :)
What's not so great: Can procrastinate longer! :(

Great as Usual

I've been using Turbo Tax and Quicken since the DOS days. I have always enjoyed the help it has given me in categorizing different types of expenses, incomes and accounts. It's also been interesting to see how the program has progressed over the years to become even more user friendly. I'm an auto-renewer and I plan to stay that way.
What's great about it: like to be able to fill in forms as they become available, then I use the step by step to see what I've missed
What's not so great: Printing out the tax summary and filing info every time, both to file and to keep for records.

Don't know the most about taxes...just enter the numbers and go. For that, Turbo Tax is great, However, I can't help but feel there is so much more I am missing out on which TT isn't telling me.
What's great about it: short, simple, to the point

Starting out on my own, I thought I would play it safe and save myself the hassle by paying my mother's accountant to handle my taxes - she had worked with him for the past 20 years and agreed it was the best option. Six months later, I received a subpoena for unpaid taxes. As a full time student waiting tables and working retail just to scrape by on my own, I was horrified. What's worse is my mother's accountant admitted to guessing on city filings and declined to help out at all. Needless to say, the next year I spent months pouring over IRS literature and tax software reviews before settling on TurboTax Deluxe. So simple and accurate - and the biggest return I've ever received. In fact, I had never gotten a return before. TurboTax capitalized on education credits and itemized deductions, which was perfect for someone like me who is a strong advocate of giving back to my community. I tell my story every tax season and sway at least two or three more people towards TurboTax.
What's great about it: Secure, accurate, simple.
What's not so great: Would like to see more municipality specific support and reduced pricing for loyal customers.
