I'm Now Experienced

I enjoy the ability to do my tax return at home and in private but I really don't know how accurate or complete the software is, I would have to actually hire a tax consultant to be able to make that determination. With that said, I found the experience to be satisfying in as much as fulfilling what I stated in the first sentence of this review. The premium you pay for using software instead of a consultant is that you won't know if you got the maximum "bang for your buck". But, the software is intuitive and easy to use.
What's great about it: Very intuitive and easy to use
What's not so great: Amount of detail is almost overkill

Just a plain 1099

My 1099 for interest income was due to a refund from the federal government. I was looking for a way to enter it and could not find a plain 1099. So I entered it as a 1099-INT.
What's great about it: Quick
What's not so great: Couldnt find a 1099
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Overall very easy to use and will do so again. Over the years i have tried other ways. IRS forms, HR Block, & Tax Cut. This is the best and fastest way that I have found. Sooo E-Z
Had trouble understanding some technical definitions, but got through it ok.
I would recommend it to others.
I wish it was this easy to file taxes on my planet!!
What's great about it: copied all info from last year forward to this year's return E-Z
What's not so great: had to go to forms mode to apply some of refund to 2013 tax

As someone who has few deductions, I find it frustrating to have to scroll down between each hit of the "no/continue" button, but otherwise, using Turbo Tax couldn't be easier. It gives me tons of confidence that I did it right and maximized my refund!
What's great about it: Lots of explanation, leaves no stone unturned

A worthwhile investment. TurboTax takes much of the guess work out of tax preparation, makes filing easy and is value priced.

Not very intuitive

I've used TurboTax for 5 years and it gets the job done however there were numerous instance where I had to go back and and re-check what I had done because the instructions were unclear. The filing process was ok for the Fed but I wanted to file the State by mail and had to keep going back to figure out what to do. The update process was not at all clear while in the program(had to go to "help")- that you had to have the program loaded on the hard drive to update, that you had to close and re-start the program in order to complete the update.
What's great about it: overall pretty easy
What's not so great: frequently the instructions don't make sense or are hard to follow

Great Product!!!

As usual, a great product. I love the import feature from year to year. Easy navigation and help along the way. Seamless state filing as well. It is truly evident that this software is well thought out and prepared by professionals. GREAT JOB!!! INTUIT!
What's great about it: Easy Navigation, and great help tools/topics
What's not so great: None- really, I love Turbotax
