Worked well again

I am retired and my stuff is pretty much the same each year. Turbo tax is great for a low cost way to get my taxes done. The process leads me through getting everything loaded in. Only occasionally do I have some extra income or a set of donations that don't fit the mold. That is the only time I struggle. The first year I used Turbo Tax, I had my taxes done and then did them myself in Turbo Tax to see how the two compared. The outcome was about the same, but some of the things my accountant deducted I didn't feel real comfortable about and he had missed some other valuable deductions. All in all, I got a return I was comfortable with for $300 less. A pretty good deal.
What's great about it: Takes care of all the complicated calculations
What's not so great: Sometimes it is hard to find a place to put stuff.

TURBO REFUND

Love this product Have been using it since forever I think I saw a file on my computer from 1996 but anyway you got my vote.
The only thing I do not like is when you are working on lets say deductions there are 10 diferent deduction options and every time you finish it brings you to the top of the list and you need to scroll to the bottom to press click the next button to move to the next deduction.
not a big deal when I get my REFUND though!! keep up the great work INTUIT

What's great about it: Ease of use
What's not so great: when working in the categories it you have to keep scrolling down to hit next

make it easy

I like the ease of turbo tax and learning more about filing taxes as I go so that I can plan tax savings in future years. Alos it feels good to actually see the process and turbo tax makes it alot less tedious too!
What's great about it: condenses what I need to claim
What's not so great: not sure if I did the extra forms right or had all my deductions or amounts

There's lots of support and help available and I could choose the level I needed. Good lay-person understandable language and explanations.

LOVE TURBOTAX

I love using TurboTax to file my returns. I used them last year and it was relatively easy, but this year was even easier since it automatically imports your info from the previous year. I don't dread doing my taxes anymore now that I've found TurboTax.
