Faster Each Year

Very nice that it only took a few hours to prepare and file my taxes. Each year it seems easier to file my taxes. I would like Turbo Tax to start personalizing the explanations as to why I am not eligible for full credits or full exemptions. For example, it would be nice to see it calculate for me exactly why I do not receive the full Child Tax Credit.
What's great about it: Quick, Easy to Process

Got 'er done!

I used Turbo Tax for tax year 2012 after using professional tax prep for the last 4 years. It went well. I feel confident that the 'Easy Guide' pulled all the correct information out of us and yielded an accurate return. It does take awhile to answer all the prompted questions, but this has to be done to ensure you are paying the least amount you have to. Overall it was a positive experience.
What's great about it: Checks everything. A thorough look. Confidence high it is correct.
What's not so great: There was nothing that bothered me enough to mention.

Turbotax Makes it Almost Painless

I have been using TurboTax for many years now and am a very satisfied customer. I especially like the interface with ItsDeductable for calculating property donations. I have to file 2 state returns. TurboTax calculates both state returns will little more than a few keystrokes on my part.

If you can file an easy form and you have all your info then Turbo tax is a great way to go because you see step by step how to do your taxes and when you use someone else you assume they have done it all correctly for you. At least this way if there is a problem you can get help to fix it.
What's great about it: easy to follow and understand
What's not so great: Never sure if I'm missing something

I will continue to use TurboTax. I wish TurboTax, in the beginning of the interview would ask what additional information the user would like to import. For Example, I had job search related expenses that I tagged in Quicken + associated with a category, however, no easy way to have TurboTax ask about this tag and import.
What's great about it: consistent experience each year
What's not so great: where to deduct job related expenses was unclear
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Finally I was able to use the import from last years return that was great. Finished my whole tax return inn about an hour. Truly a worthwhile investment.
