The data import feature is useful, but sometime I wonder if it accurate and complete in getting all the information required by the IRS.
Entering 1099-MISC information left me with a lot of questions about the information required for a small business. Is it really necessary?

Basically, computers and I do not usually get along well. I always need simple instructions and a lot of patience on your part. When I go through programs as detailed as Turbotax, I expect that somewhere in the middle of the program after I have spent a reasonable time getting to the middle, the program will throw something at me that ever stopped everything, wasting my time to such an extent that I end up dumping the whole thing to let someone else take care of. it. I was greatly pleased that each part went by so easily and completely without to much problems. I, also, knew that if I had a problem, the answer and assistance was only a phone call way. I felt that I had an expert sitting next to me the whole time.
What's great about it: easy instructions
What's not so great: Have on negitive remarks or suggestions

Didn't realize I qualified for credits

We are a family of four with 2 minor children. I didn't realize we qualified for the child and dependent care credit until using the turbo tax software. We were happy with the results with the credit.
Cons-
There is no guidance for seniors. I had to conduct my own searching on the IRS website and search engines to find Pub 554 "Tax Guidance for Seniors". After calculating all the information for my parents and their self employment income/deductions, I discovered in the Pub 554 that my parents didn't need to file a return because their self employment income was lower than the minimum. It would have been nice if a popup in turbo tax would have lead me to the seniors guide as soon as I inputted their ages and highlight the "do I have to file?" section.

I decided to buy the cd even after I had started online. It was very easy to transfer the information over and finish my taxes.
What's great about it: Very user friendly way to do taxes
What's not so great: I wish Turbo gathered more information at the start so I did not have to go through so many options.

Turbo Tax - it's EASY & AWESOME!

For anyone not sure which program to use on your own, you won't be disappointed with TURBO TAX! It's fast and easy; just get all your forms ready to go. What I liked best is the E-Filing and you'll get your refunds faster, too.

Turbo Tax Rocks

I have used Turbo tax for years. I feel confident there are no math errors, but more than that I feel confident that I have not missed any steps in doing my taxes. Turbo Tax rocks.

Overall good program. Had some problems finding farm deductions.

What's not so great: Some items are hard to locate
